agree with martin there, not every engine is bullet proof and something is going to break if it gets abuse for long enough. look after it and it will look after you!
very nice mate, facelift model too, when i got my remap done at rstuning paul told me that the facelifts had better controls for the turbo in the ecu map so you can abit more power and efficiency from them! just thought i'd let you know! unlucky for me i was 53 plate :( lol
lol think martin's did too so thats good sign, hopefully it might just be that then and the injector may be alright, what did he say was wrong with the injector, or just that its faulty?
definitely give it a good run out once that pipes been fixed.
it might have been limp mode if the sensors measured the pressure and it was too low, do any lights come on when you get into higher revs? martin diy'ed his pipes i think, he will be the man to speak to about this, hopefully he should be on here in abit
ohh pipes, must be a crack in one of the pipes and its losing pressure, martin had this, one of the boost pipes was knackered and he lost all power once he got the revs up!
MAF sensor? you hear him say anything like that? mass air flow it stands for, might be reading wrong. actually think the inlet temp sensor is combined with this on the dci's.
100 is quicker obviously and will feel abit quicker with that extra torque. if you can get a 100, i'd say get one but if you want abit more choice go for the 80.
specs, priviledge - i think thats the top of the range, a/c, xenons possibly. trip computer.
billabong is one down from a...
good move, at least a specialist will look at it and won't give you the sort of crap excuses like a cowboy would. I went to a specialist when mine was randomly cutting out, he found it was some wires corroded from the ecu to the injectors, due to the wet weather. If i went anywhere else they...
yeah could do with checking them, you might be able to see some signs so you can see which ones need sorting. worth a shot, depends how confident you are of doing it. Dont want to make it worse.
@dci 80, found this on the web: http://www.merlindiesel.com/media/productdoc365.pdf

I thought it was out of the 1.4 model:

I think some newer citroens run bosch systems, need to know more about...
Yeah I think they need to be coded to the car, so that the ecu knows the flow rate or each injector so it knows how much fuel to pump through. I just hope that the ecu can go to a higher flow rate than standard items, probably need a remap for the c4 injectors. and also hope that the pump would...
no one knows if the c4 items will work yet do they? think magnastik was looking into it, he is definitely looking into something in his updates in his project thread.
yeah best bet for johnson here would be refurbing them like you say, then you know they aren't going to break 5 minutes down the road. I just got abit carried away looking into coding them lol
good advice from dci 80 there.
injectors are right infront of you when you take the engine cover off. you will see 4 of them in a line with metal pipes going into them from the fuel pump. they also have a label near the top of them with some numbers on it.
I've tried to have a look around...
hmm id rather get it done by a specialist who has done many other dci's tbh, do you know of any in your area? should be a few about.
My aux belt was screeching when we first changed it, but tightened the bottom tensioner up and it went away. Sounded like a right shed for a few weeks though...
Crikey, what happened to it? any symptoms before hand?
Andy the cambelt has been done though yes? I changed mine just when it was over 5 years, the belt looked fine tbh and so did the aux belt, still changed them though. Aux belts arent that hard to do
£150 to do a diagnostic? is he using...
You getting the faulty injector replaced then? getting a second hand one or new?
Reliability is pretty good i must, ive had mine for 40k miles and the only problem i've had was with an electrical issue but thats just renaults in general. Provided they are serviced regularly and not abused i...
Cool magnastik! How is the new clutch holding up then? be nice to see a dyno sheet and see what torque thats running!
Whats your plans for the injectors? is the citreon ones you were saying?
Correct: http://www.cliodci.net/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=54
you can fit any intercooler you like as long as you can get the pipes for it. Focus tdci's and Bmw d's tend to have similar intercoolers to the 100.
On my car I have a 100 intercooler with 80 pipes, i just extended the offside pipe with...
