I have took all the handles off my 16v and both door locks whilst it has been off the road for 8 week and the test run out 7 week ago so i am gonna test it then if it fails for that just get a Special £45 MOT Cert.
my handles are on remote operated solinoids press the button and the drivers door pops open, other button for the passanger one for the boot, very smart, just used filler for the roof very stable so it wont crack took some doing, to get it even.
should still pass the mot i believe

NO ITS A LONG METAL ONE ABOUT A FOOT LONG AND ABOUT 12mm IN DIAMETER AND HAS ONE MOUNTING POINT I BELIEVE, IT IS THE PIPE WITH THE METAL NUT THAT LEAKS ALL THE TIME ON VALVERS WHERE IT CONNECTS INTO THE PAS PUMP
Does anyone know the part number for the metal power steering pipe which goes from the pump across the block to above the gearbox where it connects to flexible hose.

I luckily got old of a full engine for £300 by fluke bought it has a 1.8 then got it home cleaned it up and noticed it said F7R on the engine plate cost me about £200 for timing belt clutch gaskets and fluidstook two days to drop in. Really easy to do when you understand how.
Mine was leaking but when i took the engine out other week i noticed how it was the inner cv boot on the passanger side it has a ring with three holes when you bolt the shaft in it seals the box the seal was split. cost me £7.50 for a new boot not fitted it yet gonna wait till nearier the time...
I have put three clutches in mine since christmas
1st - ebc total crap slipped when you pulled away quick ended up burning up
2nd - ap not a recon eiether this was better but ended up shattering after 1500 miles
3rd - BB uprated one sh*t hot well worth every penny doesnt slip smell got...
