I think the general response you’ll get is to buy the PMS items. Far and away the best quality and design out there at the price.
The ASTs and BCs offer camber/castor adjustment via an eccentric design using an offset bearing.
Not seen the BCs personally but was never that impressed with the...
So, suffering with a good number of the Corvid19 symptoms I’m feeling pretty useless.
However even when Ill I find myself suffering cabin fever and with a squillion jobs to do, decided to tinker with the car.
Can’t do much on the Clio till then hubs come back, but have a job on the Cayman I’ve...
Can’t see Michael painting his car any shade of pink/purple but it’s what’s easy to see on track lol.
personally any track car for me looks best in white.
Not that much more weight but around 1290kg and circa 350bhp.
worth investigating the Ti shims though. The CLs having copper backs will only compound the issue. Cooper has exceptionally high thermal conductivity so yes it pulls heat from the surface of the pad it piles all that heat into your...
I’m on the Porsche 4 pots front and rear with bigger 2 piece GiroDiscs.
these take the fronts to 345mm and rears to 335mm. RS29s, titanium shims and GT3 ducts complete the setup. They still get a solid work out on track even with cooling and ally uprights all round.
Might be worth seeing if you can get some titanium shims laser cut for the backs of the pads. We used these on the Porsche to prevent heat transfer to the calipers and fluid.
if you get some done, get a load done and sell some to fund your own. 🙂
I’m 37 this year and have absolutely no intentions of growing up... ever 😂
I’ll always own a modified car, I always have. In fact I think I’ve modified everything I own in one way or other. 😂
AMG and Audi too, they’re all at it.
It sounds absolutely s**t. Proper upshifts bangs created using a load cell and ignition cut is different gravy.
This oem engineered in crap they think we want is awful. ☹️.
Ha!
Well if that’s true, I’m glad to help inspire you. I hope that little car gives you as much enjoyment as mine has me. I absolutely love mine and seemingly know no bounds as to what it costs me to keep. Crazy lol.
Wishing you all the very best with it. 😎👍🏼
Thanks for the kind words man, glad you approve. I’m trying to add only high end upgrades that genuinely improve the car as an ultimate fast road package.
Ive not totally discounted the low boost setup, but for now I really like the original build ethic of the car with is big capacity NA...
I have to say they’re probably the best £11 quid I’ve thrown at the car so far. Such a significant improvement that I never knew I would be so pleased about. Lol.
Cheers boys, I have to admit that’s a large part of my thought process of liking the period style emblems. I still think they look great and suit the cars vintage. However as Mr Blonde has kindly shown above, the clean lines of the 197 style is also really appealing and makes for a fresh and...
So, the age old badge question.
I cant decide between the OEM 182 or 197 rear badges. I've purchased both so i can decide. Plan is to remove al the emblems and machine polish the tailgate before refitting new ones along with the "Clio" badge.
I still really like the original design, and wonder...
