Hmm... I think 6x9s are built to give a certain amount of bass... more than standard 5.25" round speakers anyway. In fact, in a way, bass is what theyre all about. 6x9"s and 7x10"s are the closest thing to a sub you can get while still working with speakers with a smaller cone area/mounting...
I have to agree. I dont think its fair to slate a reputable company on a forum like this. Its a different matter if a company were conning people, ie. delivering substandard products, taking peoples money and not delivering the goods, etc. etc. but K-Tec have always given everyone I know whos...
Government warning??? Where? When? Im f***ed then cos Ive got my car booked in for retinting darker with 5% tints round the back three and 15% front/sunstrip!!!!!
Yep, those Kicker amps are worth about £200 each, they are very good gear, and the Sony sub must be at least another £50, more if its boxed. Alll in all, sounds like a good deal. Even if you were to end up selling the sub, say to get a DVC Kicker one you can run off those amps for example, its...
They do it by heating the film. Apparently theres no visual distortion/lightening of tints if they stretch it the small amount needed to curve it round the rear window. Mine looks perfect and its been done this way. They do charge £240+VAT tho.
Yep, it can be done in one piece, but only by the best tinting shops. I was talking to the owner of the place who did my tints (Advanced Auto Tinting Centre in Glasgow), and he was saying that although they do it in one piece, everywhere else (including Pentagon) in Glasgow do it in two, or even...
lookin good mate. Its a subtle touch, but looks a lot nicer than standard. You reckon theres no hope for me cutting out the centre bits and meshing it as a wide rectangle then?? Even if I attach it to the bumper while its still off the car? Im sure it can be done cos I saw another guys car at a...
You say you checked all the wiring, are you certain the speakers are in phase?? Just that the symptoms you describe sound like the speakers are out of phase, try swapping the + and - terminals around. If its not that, sounds like the speakers are shagged.
Thats my plan, yep. Course its all very well in theory, but whether or not thatll work out in practice is another thing altogether!! I am in two minds about taking out all the grid bits, cos it might be too big a meshed area, and look weird on a standard bumper. The meshing behind the grille...
Cheers for that mate, its pretty useful info. Not sure I understand the last bit about the three bolts tho! Sounds like it would be a much easier method. I think Ill probably cut out the middle strut in the front bumper "grille" area anyway tho, cos Id rather mesh the whole oval area, and have...
Well thats scary! I was just about to post a thread asking this exact same thing!!! So if anyonme knows, how do you get the mesh attached to the bumper, and does anyone know whether its best to remove the struts in the bumper first or not?
Thats quite nice, but it looks no deeper (in fact possible less deep) than the standard bumper. The PSG front end has a similar shape with the three meshed areas, but its a much deeper bumper, looks nicer.
Well, if deep and loud are what youre after, and you dont mind mild steel, then Ashleigh would be amazing for about half your budget. Its too loud for some peoples tastes though.
Yo could get a Supersprint for probably about that money, that should sound pretty good.
If its just a backbox...
Its got anthracite-finish Super-Tourismos and 235/40/17 Michelin Pilots as standard, and yes its only available in Europa blue. Its actually a very rare car as Vauxhall only released 100 of them in the whole of the UK! Its got 192 BHP and has a 0-60 of 6.8 secs. Top speed of 155mph! Mmmmmmm... I...
Quite right. The only problem is, they dont really market the car to Miss Daisy or your mum! They call it a Sport, give it sporty add-ons like bucked seats and alloys, sports handling pack, etc. and then give free insurance to young drivers on it!
Its the whole engine moving about on the loose mounts as far as I can tell. Its just a quirk of the design of the car rather than a problem, but it can cause the exhaust to flex too much at the manifold, and therefore the seal breaks at this joint.
Oh thats all perfectly normal Billabong! Scares everyone sh*tless at first, then you soon discover aint one other new shape Clio owner without exactly the same thing happening! Every time you come on or off the throttle the gearstick moves about 2" and you can never get a smooth take-off or...
But the profiles 45 here, so although theyll fit they will knock out the speedo, harm acceleration, and make the car ride like a 4x4! Apart from that I cant foresee any problems! lol
Ah right, Im with you! Now rereading your post I see the bit about the rocker cover above the word gasket! :oops:Well, fair enough, thats one Im sure you could attempt yourself! (armed with a roll of sellotape and a screwdriver! ;)! I would have been well impressed if you were gonna attempt a...
K-tec will supply an uprated head gasket set, its probably about as cheap as a new head gasket would be from Renault parts. Are you replacing it or have you got necessary tools to carry out a repair job on it?
Theyre probably going to be a lot biger on the rolling radius if theyre 17"s and have a 45 profile with a 205 width. Normally 205/40/17" gives the closest rolling radius for a Clio. If you buy those other bigger tyres youll lose a lot of acceleration and the car will sit high.
I quite like the kit, the spoiler especially, but I wouldnt have both the bumper and the grille meshed, and Id mesh the bumper in black mesh so it didnt contrast as much on a black car.
PSG kit is now on sale from M8auto-tec.
