No rust on mine either BUT non enthusiasts tend not to wash their car all the time during the winter. This lets the salt eat away at it - I have owned and viewed enough Fords to see the result of a good car in bad conditon due to not enough TLC.
Millions of VTSs in Aberdeen BTW!;) Not seen...
This is from Autocar:
The Williams has the 1998cc F7R engine where as the 16v has the 1764cc F7P Engine. The Williams uses the crankshaft from the 1.9 Diesel Clio aswell as bigger pistons - 0.7mm broader than the standard 82mm. It has bigger inlet valves, sharper camshafts and a different...
Mines a 95 Willie 2, with 31k on the clock - but its almost the same speed as my old Fiesta (135bhp ATW / 920kgs on 2 different RRs). There is no way my Williams has 113bhp ATW.
Im going to dig out my RR print out and post it - it makes very strage reading!
My RR figure at star was 113bhp ATW 163.5bhp ATF. Now I know from reading many threads on this that you allways use the ATW as the most accurate. How does my 113bhp ATW make sense then?
I could understand it if my car was actually underperforming but its the opposite. Someone else on here has...
The Valver and Williams have a reputation (correctly so from my experience so far!) of being expensive to repair!
What are the 172s like? Are they just as bad for getting things done on them or are they easier to work on?
Renault quoted me £36 for a Fog light and £50 to fit it - I was told its difficult to do. I said nah, leave it - when I got home I took the old one out and put it back in 2 or 3 mins - robbing barstewards!
Hmm my major service recently cost me £400 including parts needed - I have paid out a total of £900 since I bought the car in Feb. I gave it 2 months after the last big bill - 1 month up and nothing wrong - 1 more to go, if nothing else goes wrong it stays - if not it goes.
Its not the same car but most people ive given a shot of my Williams too have commented on the steering being heavy - may just be the sacrafice for a bit of "feel" my last car had no PAS so its light to me.
youve only got five fingers! hes not a local!!
Come one then Mugen - be honest now;) -
What car do you own?
How old are you?
Where are you from?
OH and some pics of your car!
There could be a few things going on here:
1: Mugen is a Cliosport member taking the pi$$
2: Mugen is a Type R owner that doesnt know much about his car
3: Mugen doesnt own a Type R but loves being the center of attention!
Well mine as standard got some strange figures but it got 163.5bhp which seems correct as per the AP22. So to get to 170bhp at the fly you shouldnt need too much.
But different cars put out different figures and it depends how lucky you are.
More importantly different rolling roads put out...
