I was under the impression all 328i Sports had LSD, Traction control doesnt have anything to do with it, unless yours isnt a true 328i Sport (a lot got retro fitted with all the stuff), but it all looks right on yours equipment wise.
I was a bit out on my BHPs above, 193 standard and can...
Lovely car mate, I used to have one just like that, unfortunatly I had an automatic which never really suited me, and I ended up spinning it after some unwanted mid corner kick down in the wet, it hit a bank at about 30 and rolled, woops, you cant take any liberties with them, they bite. Still...
Just though I would let you guys know that RACE, the WTCC sim from the people who made the brilliant GTR and GTR 2 are releasing it on a 4 day free trail of the full game. http://www.race-game.org/
You get the trail via steam, you can preload it now, its a big download I think. For anyone...
Not really many other choices then.
Saab 9-3 Vert and Volvo C5 Vert (good engines) are both in the price and age range but niether probably have the image you want. 3 Series is only just out your price range, you could haggle down?
Jap cars are always a bit like sitting in a bin bag (to quote clarkson), the Audi will have it easy in that department.
Personally at those prices I would be tempted by something like a 540i Sport (Looks like an M5), or even a Vauxhall Monaro, but maybe thats my odd tastes. You could even get...
V6 engines Drink a lot more fuel that straight 6's, so yes it will be worse than the BM. 328 should get high 20's early 30's, dont expect you get out of the low 20's in the Clio?
Tell me if im wrong here, but as far as I was aware in a FWD to recover oversteer the genral idea is you nail the throttle and apply opposite lock, where as in a RWD you have to moddulate the throttle, not to much not to little, while not pressing the breaks, applying opposite lock and being...
I think a lot of cars can suprise you with MPG these days of engineering. My 2.3 V5 will get 33ish on a straight run and on the way back from picking up my E36 BMW 328i Auto I got 35mpg. Both drop like a stone as soon as you get stuck in a jam or floor it though. My friend in his E46 330Ci gets...
If youve hit the lamp post and flipped in mid air its got to have done some structural damage. My bet is its a write off, the more panels you have done damage to the more likely it is to be. I worte off my BMW rolling at a similar speed, but the A pillar collapsed (Great) so wasnt much question...
Im 6"4 and while looking for a new car the Clio Sport 182 was easily one of the worst driving positions I sat in. Only the Celica had a worse one from memory.
I think this guy is pretty dam good, 9 mins of pretty much flawless driving on the ring.

Prices are always going to drop big time when a new model comes out, especially when its a specialist model like the 182 - 197 face off is. Think most people must think at £7k they may as well save up the rest and get a brand new newer model.
I personally would never spend £7k on a second...
Its wierd the way accidents happen though. I drove for years on fast twisty A roads to Brighton and Burgess Hill for years without so much as a "scare", but 6 months ago I rolled my BMW in the wet, on a 30 mph corner that I have driven 100s of times before in my town East Grinstead, just took my...
The Dodge SRT-10 Ram beat it too in evo didnt it?
Thats gotta have some pretty major drag. Does have 8.3L V10 on its side though.

Just wait for the daddy diesel to come out V.soon, 335d!
Altough you would probably bairly get much more MPG than the Petrols (BMW 6 Very efficient) and its more expensive than the Twin Turbo 335i, but the torque will be immense.
Were talking the new coupe here btw.
6.1 to 60...
I think the biggest shooting themselves in the foot that Renault have done is making the 197 the same price as the Cooper S, its more expensive than the 182 without seemingly being able to bring anything new to the plate. Not saying I would want a Cooper, but I would take it over the 197, its...
I managed 120mph on GPS in my Mk1 Ph3 Clio 1.2, but that was down a hill, and it sounded like it was about to give up (I think the extra passenger and luggage actually sped us up, thanks Newton). And you have the same engine in the much heaver Mk2, no its not going to cruise at 100, I could...
No, I would describe a Sports car one which every model in the range has sporting pedagree or at least a lot of style. I would say its a car that is designed to be a Fast/Stylish car from day one rather than a car that has evolved into being one from base models.
At the end of the day the...
I would say wait until you have a tiny bit more experience then go for something bigger.
Are you sure that insurance deal is that good. I am paying £600 for 10months on a 2.3 V5 Golf and im 21 with a £7k fault claim a few months ago on my 328i Sport which only was costing me £1k when I was 20...
Obviously trying to gun for the Fiesta ST / Polo GTI etc market, which probably has more potential for sales anyway. Especially if insurance prices go up by 40% like Norwich Union are.
Must say the look of it is growing on me. Everyone is saying its inevitable that cars grow up, maybe true, but then surely it should have some lush leather or racing seats with a interior that doesnt look like a fisher price my first dashboard.
BMs are great, the sporty ones are raw and great...
I am trying to sell a stealth shelf on ebay for my friend. It was in a Mk2 Ph2, and someone has asked if it will fit a Ph1, does it? Think the answer is probably no but not too sure.
Cheers
ps It has Infinity 6x9 speakers and is only at £35 if anyone is interested.
Yea Orange have screwed about with the N70 way too much. They make pvPlayer the default video player, but plays back recordings really jerky, and it takes an age to go through the menus to get to Real. All the menus seem really slow too. Considering doing it myself.
