Bit of a moan here. But has anyone noticed how you just cant go out and enjoy driving now. The roads are too full of idiots not looking what they are doing or just blatantly bad drivers. Maybe this is just localised to Essex, but I would think not. Weekends are full of idiots pottering around in...

Morning Jas, tru, but you save loadsa cash and still get one light flying beast for your money. Have you guys thought about buying a 172 for track days for the club, or would thi just be too expensive and hassle to sort...i am thinking it maybe?? Would be so cool though, members could book time...
Willy is a damn fine clio, but best keep it standard, much nicer to have a totally original, immaculate Williams than one thats been modded to fekk...also disagree about 172s, I would go for one of theose myself...lovely quick car, loadsa goodies as standard, and new so no expensive repair...
That seems very cheap for a full seasons racing, if thats what it is...I would of thought though that its for only one race or maybe 2....full season in 750mc stock hatch would cost around 3.5k, and I know that the clio cups would cost alot more than that....if it was a seasons racing at a...
That was me!!!! Thanks for the info...... but :(
thought the mk1s would go for alot cheaper than that....but if they are the same car with mk2 panels then thats why....never mind....20k just a tad too much money for a track car....
BenR - so you can get full race spec clio cup cars from...
Thats right about dealers wanting to shift the mk1s. I know that Renault have quite a few left hanging around un-registered at their main depot, and they are trying to reduce the price to sell them. I think they will be going for around 20k, so a saving of 5k!!!! although 20k is still alotta...

I have to agree that is heresy, someone has really messed up that car...why do some people feel the need for fake vents etc., 16v and mk1 172 have vents for a reason....JJJJEEEEEZZZZUUUUZZZ!!!!!

yeh thats not the best clio cup model ive seen. I bought an exellent V6 trophy model from Brands couple weeks ago, cost £30, but looks seriously cool, L.Rangonis V6 racer, and its exactly the same as the real one, as I have some photos to compare it with....

Yeh in Wickford in Essex.
I think a peugot 106 rallye is going to cost serious cash though. Maybe to start with we will get an old stock hatch for a grand or so, just to get the feel of track driving a bit more before upgrading to a race ready stock hatch or even road saloon championship car...
After taking the XR2 out to brands on tuesday, we realised we needed a better car. It did hold up really well as it is totally standard! Just no acceleration to speak of, got 90mph on the straights, but cornering was a bit dodgy at speed. Ultimately want to stock hatch next year, get National B...
