I did a track day training course here in Ireland on Mondello park and started to lose grip from the standard tyres on the correct racing lines, so I'll be in track tyres for the summer on track. Clio was the fastest car of the day.
Was just wondering if anyone knew what the best cold air feed to use for the V6 set up. I have no fog lights on the car so running from the holes there wouldn't be a problem.
Is that Very Cherry stuff not a flip of the acidic wheel cleaners though, a lot of cleaners say they are not acidic but are heavily alkaline e.g. pH 11-13
I'm using these at the minute. A bit hard when first fitted but after a week or so they soften down a bit. It's amazing how tight the car feels. The Vibratechnics stuff is a great piece of kit. Would recommend it to anyone.
I got mine replaced last week. Did dogbone top engine and gearbox mounts. Started to settle down alreay but the car feels so much more planted now than it did before.
I've Apex in my 172 but they are a little low for me. I'll maybe try out a set of H&R Springs or change to coilovers soon. They don't react very well when there is someone in the back of the car.
I'm using meguirs wheel brightner from the detailer range and it's amazing. If having problems with Tar use Tardis to take off afterwards. Works for me.
Well it's not up to scratch yet, somebody took out the front fog lights so I'll be replacing them along with the rear spoiler brake light and there's also some marks on the paintwork from bad washing technique so I'll be out with my new polisher and Menzerna when I get the time to do it...
As promised here's my new car. It's a mondial blue 172 Cup with 65000 on it. Goes like a rocket. Pics taken after a quick wash and wax.
Washed and waxed using this lot. Next thing when I get time I'll clay it and get the DA out.
I just used autosol on mine yesterday. There's no need to use and abrasive pad as the polish is mildly abrasive itself. Use something like rim wax on it when you are finished as this will make it easier to clean in future. I do this to my own car and the old porsche 911 that we have as well and...
Hi All,
Just bought a mondial blue 172 cup yesterday. I bought it in Northern Ireland and it has a cliosport sticker on here so I'm guessing one of the owners was a member on here at some point. I'll get some pictures up soon.
