Something is telling me that it is the front (n/s) suspension/wheel bearings. Basically the noise gets louder as I accelerate and is constant, apart from when I am turning left. It's getting to be annoying now. Any ideas?

Due to some new wheels I need some 5mm spacers as the centre bore pops out the centre cap when they are fitted to the car. Do I need longer bolts and are they safe? Just read a thread where a guys wheel came off using 6mm ones.
