the pc99-x12 is the one which needs to be connected behind the clock - pita
connects2 and MTAudio (on here) can supply a resistive adapter so that you simply have to plug in at rear of radio - iirc this is the correct connects2 lead for a clio with display -...
DIN is just the size of the stereo - you get single/double din - the standard clio stereo is single din so no facia adapters are required to fit an aftermarket single din
I would sooner recommend the sony dab700 unit instead (http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_869325_langId_-1_categoryId_265865) - purely because the Philips comes with a crap rigid antenna which has a magnetic base and is designed to...
When i removed ballast from mine last yr I had water pouring out it too, so when i fitted new one just covered all edges in silicone to prevent any moisture penetration, hopefully its just the bulb in ur case - gets costly replacing them if u cnt find used ones (luckily got one of ebay fr £45...
Feel your pain, been in the similar/same situation
Only had my car for 12months, and had dephaser & timing done, waterpump, pas pump all on separate occasions so 3belt kits @ around £65 iirc + other parts - expensive stuff but the type of parts they are i dont see them requiring replacement for...
Its the power steering pump - exactly same symptoms i had, started off now and again, the more often, mainly on cold but deteriorated quickly (within 1month), and started showing signs when warm also. It had started making some noises around 4months before I decided to get it checked out by...
I get the same problem with decat - mainly after using cruise control on bypass/motorways - think its because the car realises the emissions are high. Garage at my work reset it now and again, I did have a similar code reader (as posted above), from a company called beatthegarage, which clears...
Searched this myself, and this is what i understood - 172-182 are different from standard phase1/2 non sports. Arches come in 2 parts on each side, so if you will need 1 part for each side and from what i gather its around £50 per section, so around £100 to replace front bits which seem to...
chances are its the ballast/ignitor that has went - rare for xenons to blow. Mind and take out fuse before removing ignitor and let it discharge - or risk getting a shock - theres a reason y theres a hazard sign on it, piece of cake with bumper off/ lamp out.
Rentech - they done my dephaser/cambelt also last year - unfortunately the pump started leaking 6months later - although its unlikely to fail in hindsight i wish i just got it all done first time round :p - reasonable pricing and seem good lads, would reccomend
Just noticed this thread - and feel your pain
I now have thumb sized dents in my bonnet from trying to release mine a number of times - so got fed up and headed to my local Renault dealer (sadly an Arnold Clark) - anywhoo went to service dept, reg typed in, 'sorry sir your car was not included...
HID Kit in reflective lenses would fail regardless - require projector lenses (like 1*2 lamps) and leveling for MOT, washers not a requirement unless fitted to the vehicle
Change filter and try one of these? - http://compare.ebay.co.uk/like/140733908514?var=lv<yp=AllFixedPriceItemTypes&var=sbar&adtype=pla .never used it myself but does smell citrus fresh, and comma's a good brand
I currently work in a well known retailer of car parts/accessories :p - fitting such stereos, some come with rigid aerials and some come with glass mounted ones - my advice is to go with the glass ones as the rigid are on magnet bases and require to be located on the outside of the vehicle
I...
Alrite guys,
Yet another fault with my 182, Ive got some leaking/dripping onto undertray on the driverside - which I believe to be my coolant (as indicated by a mechanic who changed my entire rear brakes). Never noticed an issue before but he did show me that the level was dropping when engine...
Mick,
thanks for the quick response, I am not clued up on mechanical stuff myself to check if these are fitted correctly, I just presume that the garage would do so. Im in contact with a friend of the family who is a honda technician who is prob going to be the one fixing this for me, is there...
Alrite guys,
In around feb/march, I heard some knocking when breaking and upon taking the car (182) to a local garage it turned out that my rear discs had cracked right through, like the ones in 'snails' post (http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?637240-Cracked-brake-disc). So got the...
Don't have the cat as the garage who sold me the car had already put it through mot and said it was fine, so i presumed it would have been ok,
Not to bothered if its genuine renault parts or what not, just anything that I can use to keep it on the road when the mot expires next week, any ideas...
Alrite guys,
Tried to MOT the car today(first mot since ive owned it), number of issues so any advice would be great - was tempted to trade in, but seeing ive spent £700 in december for dephaser/timing/all belts, i think i should prob fix it:
miltek&decat - failed on CO emmisions - <0.2%...
I would imagine something like this would do the trick (but ive not seen the back of a 197 stereo so can't say for sure).... http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/product/products_id/8694.html ... would personally run it past MTAUDIO on here - he may even have something more suitable for your needs :)
+1 fitted these for many customers, and love the HU myself - just don't have the cash for one, if being picky when it comes to the clio the 3900 lights up blue. So although it doesnt have bluetooth id prob go for the sony gt450u
Mines is in he garage getting looked at (just now :p), I had a knocking noise when rolling, and also a grinding/whirring noise when at 50/60mph which drowns out my miltek, - guys are inspecting and said it appears to be cracked rear discs - possibly due to overheating, which may mean an issue...
Alright guys, think im gna take this one to a local garage on thursday, but thought I would see if anyone has had anything similar - so that I can at least get a heads up of what it could be/ what it could cost...
As with every recording it sounds less in the vid than in reality :p, but...
