Think it was, if not was around that, was new calipers, new discs/pads, handbrake cable - maybe i had something else done at same time, or i could just be way off - was over a year ago
Edit: was new calipers, around £140 a piece on website, so wlda bn arnd £280 for calipers, £100 discs n pads...
same happened to mine, calipers were binding and cracked discs, got them stripped/ cleaned out with new discs and pads, but slight binding again ended up scortching discs. At then end of the day got new calipers/discs/pads/cables iirc £500 all in fitted, and not had a problem since (touch wood)...
same part no for adapter but one you posted has image of quadlock, which is on later models. Would check if this was a 'generic' pic before buying as 182's are ISO. That alpine does look good though, nice choice :)
i tried radweld and didnt do a thing, i heard that kseal is a much better product tho if you can get your hands on it. Thank said from what I understand most people would advise against as it can cause more problems than its worth, but heyho I tried it so can't judge - anything to keep costs...
Rentech in Edinburgh done mine, think it was around £700 iirc, well worth it for the piece of mind that its specialists working on the car. Theyve also done my waterpump and powersteering pump. Never had any issues with their work and would rather pay a going rate than cut corners with garages...
had similar to mines, problem is that all the plastics under the car can mean theres not a clean drip onto ground, best up on a ramp and take of covers and see if you can see anything. mines turned out to be waterpump, bit £££ - but my own fault for not getting it done with dephaser - lesson learned
dont know if there is a version that transmits track/station info to the top display - never cam across one it my time, but could be wrong. generally stalk adapters just read renault and clock/temp, without its just clock/temp. There are ways to customise what the display reads, there are...
if you get a connects2 adapter its plug and play, if you go for autoleads its top dash off to back of clock, best best with connects2, i got a similar one off mtaudio - works a treat
mki9000 is good if u don't care so much for outgoing calls, voice recognition would infuriate me personally due to it not recognising 100% of the time. better off investing in the mki9200 if going down the parrot route imo. as for stereo i would say the pioneer deh4500 would fit the bill? uses...
075 size battery, rating will be subject to the way you drive, if shorter trips better off with calcium, but if your giving it a good run on a daily basis then an acid battery will do just fine.
that models not too bad (that said i change bulbs in cars on a daily basis ;) ) - driverside with aircon is a bit of a pain, but do-able without bumper off, passenger side and non-aircon should be fairly straight forward
sounds like a faulty usb port, seen this a couple of times, its like it just locks into usb mode, and when theres no usb in it just goes to standy mode.
I presume when u power up/down you can hear the stereo booting up?, also do you still get 3 beeps when key out?
...if so I would presume that...
amp will turn on with any 12v supply, regardless of radio being present, red going into back of radio should be ignition feed - tap onto this. or as mentioned before the blue is for remote, note: some hu's require remote to be turned on in their base settings
Personally cant see it being an issue, would depend on insurer and how hard they want to wriggle depending on cost of repair, would check small print on policy regarding any info. TBH if it is included in policy schedule they will be perfectly in their right to void it. There is no reason to fit...
you should hve a cable similar to this (just a quick scan on google) - http://budgetcaraudio.co.uk/ds-ebay/products/aux-adaptors/CTVRNX001.jpg . There will be accessory slots next to iso plugs, and it will plug in there
Would be a headlight out job to check all seals, then hairdryer and put back together.
As for xenons plese dont put them in relflective lens lights - every other person on the road will hate you for blinding them. Seems your best option imo would be just to buy 1*2 xenon lamps, seeing yours a...
I tried changing a stereo on a renault traffic for a customer which had built in tomtom, radio works but tomtom doesn't. The tomtom relies on factory radio to work. Tried renault/ armour/ connects2 - no leads manufactured to keep tomtom working.
I presume this will be same for all tomtom's...
99% certain it will be water in the ballast, ive heard of some people stripping the light and hairdryer the ballast and it works again, i had same problem and had to get a replacement though - £50 on ebay, unlikely to be a connector, unless you were cleaning under bonnet. 1% says i could be...
