I will be heading up to the MU night on wendesday. hopefully the weather holds out. Wouldn't mind jumping in the passenger seat if your out on track gav
My ph1 has the little tabs that locate into the wing as per a ph2.......I've cut mine off as I've a set of the pitking quick release fittings I'll be fitting this week
I'm not entirely sure but from searching it would appear not. All the sensors i have found so far have a cylindrical sensor where the phase 1 has a square sensor, also one has a male plug the other a female for connecting under the car
In need of a rear ABS sensor for a ph1 172, it would appear renault have zero in stock with no telling when and if they will get them back in stock at all! i have searched high and low on the web and ABS sensors are readily available for the ph2 but nobody seems to do any for the ph1...
I know a few honda boys who run them and they seem to be a good bit of kit, only driven one civic with one fitted myself and was impressed with the difference it made
I'm due a new set of track rubber, im going to take a punt on the new nankang AR-1. Once i've done a few days i shall fire a review up. Always been an R888 user and i have found them superb in the dry and wet (wet when they are relatively new, once worn a bit there horrible in the wet)...
No need to drain the gearbox when removing the drivers side shaft, i made the assumption it was this side he was doing due to the mention of the bracket and also the rubbing on the sump issue
The bracket is held on with 3 bolts and easy to remove. sometimes the bearing on the shaft becomes seized in the bracket, so may be easier to remove the bracket with the shaft.
As for the Inner CV boot its not a non servicable part as the shaft can be refurbed, not sure a boot is available for...
new from renault, ECP also sell them sure they are around £190. Not of much help but i just chucked a 3 month old one in the skip last week when clearing the garage out
None taken. Although to say 2k at a push is laughable. There are standard 172's selling for close to that in the classifieds section on here.
It's always the way with cars you've modified there worth more in bits than whole
Not sure if it's worth as little as that, need to do a bit market research before I decide what to do. It would split for parts for more than 2k an that's before I sell the car in standard trim as I have all the bits to convert back to standard
I may in the near future be looking to sell the clio as circumstances are likely to change soon meaning i wont get as much free time to use it anytime soon, so looking for a rough guide as to what its worth
Clio 172 Ph1 spec as below:
