I took mine to a local engineers they fitted the worm drive from my old 172 gearbox and drilled a tapered hole for the cable! Works perfect! cost me about £80 from the engineers but at the end of the day its a better box - bolt on diff instead of the crappy circlip type!

I weighed this up when I got mine SC'd. I still went for it! Sooooo much fun! Although I do sometimes look at focus RS mk1's and think "hmmmm did I do the right thing?"

Possibly the rack has moved? Cant see it being the bolt thats loose on yours?

I have just removed my airbag as I thought that the torx bolt in the middle of the steering wheel had come loose, when I eventually got it off I noticed that the play is in the actual steering rack that the wheel bolts onto! It moves about 2mm each way - not good! :( Any suggestions?

When you get some new ones bond them on! The f**kers won't get them off then!
