Ah I see! I think the gearbox specialist has sorted it today. He put a worm drive onto the 182 diff and drilled a hole in the casing for the cable as its the same cast as the worm drive casing with no hole apperently. Just waiting to hear confirmation thats its done! :D

Is mine one of them models seen as though it has ABS and diff pickup? So if the gearbox had been fitted, using clip my speedo would of worked? Would I of had to install any other parts for it to read off of the ABS?

Wish id of known this before I bought a box! I was wondering if they all had the same ratios? Whats the best box for acceleration then? not fussed about top end! and whats the trophy box like ratio wise compared to my original box?

I have dropped the box off at a local specialist who has rebuilt my boxes in the past, hes going to have a look at it for me, he said his 80% sure it can be done, Guess il find out tomorrow! The casing from my 172 box is cracked but the side with the hole in for the cable is ok IIRC! I dont know...

My 172 diff is fooked aswell as my 172 casing - the diff went through it! So I cant use that! Would the worm drive off the 172 diff fit onto the 182 diff?
