    Back in the club...

If you run an HPI check on that car which is still using the K888ETH plate then it will show up as a write off, not because that car was wrote off but the car to previously have the numberplate attached too was written off, I.E The TVR in question.. I assume the seller has listed the car with...

    Help needed URGENTLY!

Fitting the pads and discs is a piece of cake front and rear... You don't need to mess about with the ABS rings on either end of the car, standard OE rear discs come with bearings fitted, when removing the rears from the car you simply remove the ABS ring and put them onto the new discs.. There...

    not the usual clio, stoke

For a rep that looks superb I must admit! Guess it goes to show, time spent means good results.. I've seen a few on here and I always expect the same outcome.. For example... Good work mate!

:( sad to see it in this state

Easy fix probably means, new boot, new bumper, glue down boot mat, jobs a good'en! Cars get wrote off for that type of damage, if it was so easy why wouldn't insurance just fix them?

    rattle, rattle

Maybe suffering from the usual worn mounts? Engine movement vibration knocking against the subframe? I'd assume the heat shield ran the entire length.. Need to stick your head under the car and get someone to rev it and see if you can notice anything

back end all over the show

I got Hancook V12's all round on my 172, thing handles like a dream, wet or dry, sticks like sh!t to a blanket, it maybe be an issue with being worn on the front first, but I'm not sure, I had mine all fitted at the same time and never had an issue.. Glad you had this sorted though mate

K-tec Gearbox Mount Problem - See post No112

Re: K-tec Gearbox Mount Problem This could solve your issue.. Edit (again): Beat me too it.. But did you jack the gearbox or the engine?

K-tec Gearbox Mount Problem - See post No112

Re: K-tec Gearbox Mount Problem I'd PM and see what they said.. TBH as much as it makes no sense, maybe that lower washer has some movement in it, I'd guess not many people who had fitted theirs actually checked what you have been having an issue with, as long as the bush is sitting over the...

K-tec Gearbox Mount Problem - See post No112

Re: K-tec Gearbox Mount Problem I have no idea on how this goes together, but I can't believe this to be the right amount of thread exposer as Henry said above, correct me if I am wrong but that is a locking nut, the nylon ring is not covering the threads so this wouldn't be enough to lock the...

Anyone help the colour of my car?

That pic wont help to much tbh mate.. If the paint has a hint of blue and was sprayed the same colour as used on 172's then it would be Iceberg Silver.

    Ass Lift?

You would be away wouldn't you haha! Following Saturday? 3rd April I'm kicking my heels if you and TEG are free?
  26. Darren85

    Few 172 issues..

Limp Mode is on most cars now-a-days I assume the Clio has it too, I'm not 100% though, it usually stops you kicking the nuts out of it when there is an underlying issue with the car.. Only way to be certain of what's making the car hold back is getting it hooked up onto a diagnostics machine...
  27. Darren85

    Few 172 issues..

As for the 5K, I think it maybe Limp Mode, do you have any symbols on the dash displaying? The Serv + Airbag = The cables under the seats are playing up (common as muck) just give them a wiggle, should solve this
  28. Darren85

What is the best ever 'spot' ?

Never seen them myself (probably never will!) but perhaps the 2 Clio V6's that only 1 of each exist.. Deep Bronze and Moonlight iirc?
  29. Darren85

    Ass Lift?

Haha that you would mate, I admit! Car is looking smashing.. Although I do like sitting at traffic lights with my car puuuuring and not revving its balls off like yours :o Free Saturday?
  30. Darren85

    Adams ph1 172 ?

Good progress on the car Adam mate, the seats look nice, fitted yet? Nice plate also but sticking them on your car will be an instant £60 fine iirc, police are getting extremely strict on these, a mate of mine got pulled in his VRS because the lettering was 5mm smaller then whats legal! Ruler...
