so a little update.. Nothing major, I resprayed my interior handles the other day as silver was a bit rough, I did them steel grey as I have done my badges and wing mirror covers and they actually suit the Ph1 interior a lot more then the silver IMHO..
Once I fitted it all back together I...
I'd advise getting some Autosol also.. this helps to keep it 'lubed' so to speak, it also helps clean up the metal while sanding.. Good luck mate.. Plans for painting the plenum?
Edit.. Robbos work.. http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=502727
Robbo's on here just done the same to his.. painted the plenum and sanded down the lettering using a sanding sponge from Halfrauds.. not sure what grit mind, but I would assume as fine as possible..
I did mine a while back, I sanded down from 400 grit using Autosol, all the way upto 1200 then...
I'd do an oil change tbh.. Take a look at Opie Oils on the traders section and get a service kit.. Filter + 6L Oil.. Halfords do the sump washer.. its HFX227 iirc and £1.59.. You do how ever need an 8mm Square Bit for the sump bolt
Believe these are 2113's?
Edit: Google says yes..

As suspected.. Nearside is mangled! That is a dam shame, car looked lovely too.. Glad he's ok! I feel for him, regardless of how he done it, I would be devastated!
Great pics and nice turn out.. Absolute shame about the 200, regardless of fault, it's a shame, it looked nice.. Is it really a write off mind? I suppose the offside could be totally wrecked as its not visible. Wonder how the wing mirror got done too? Nearside looks fine except the wheel looking...
Metal strength adhesive is what they used, same on the Ph2.. Getting it back on shouldn't be a problem, get some 2 part epoxy resin on the bugger.. it will never come off!
Hacksaw scares me tbh :rasp:
Pretty much fella.. Wrap a lot of cloth around the base, get some grips on it and yank and twist and it will come off.. I hear heating it up will help a bit, softens the glue..
Does it hit by a lot mate? Does yours have the thread to the right side of the bar so you can tighten it? Try winding it right down and see if it lowers the profile of the brace?
People have these fitted so there has to be a way with out having to chop the bonnet to pieces!
Cheers Ed, I have so many plans but money is lacking pretty bad recently! The plan from day one was to lower and do the wheels either a dark grey/antra.. It's time will come to look nice lol.
It's about the only thing that is lazy about this car haha, foot down and you know about it!
^^ Funny you should say that mate.. I have a set of Ph2 Strips and bullets done in Iceberg and the lettering done in anthracite.. Problem is the knob jockey that did them made a right hash of them and they are ruined..! I was/am not happy!
LMAO.. I shall see what shes says.. I think she may actually reply herself!!
Haha its cool dude, thanks for the offer anyways.. Like you say it would take forever and the time I don't really have at the moment.. I'll just swap out my 15's for the 17's I have in the garden and get them off as...
Car is looking dam good if I do say so.. I love it, has to be one of my fav Ph1's on here now.. The matt black plenum really suits tbh also!
If you need a hand with the sticky calliper give me a shout, if I'm about I will give you a hand, done mine a few months back.
Did you manage to sort...
My vote is Blackra1n.. it took less then 2 mins.. Youtube it and there is UNTOLD how-to's..
As to the newer untethered version I read rumour of end of April.. But its only a rumour!
