If its a locking issue, then it has to be down to the wiring along the line.. Did you notice if you knocked or fiddled with any wires while fixing the opening mech for the door handles?

This! Its a proper pain to get hold of one and the stealers are way expensive.. Keep an eye out on eBay for a Ph1 being broke and jump on it for bits! The rear bumper is the exact same apart from its colour coded on the top section so no need to hunt for one of those.. Good luck with the rep...
