Go for a turbo. I wouldn't want to put any extra strain on the aux belt myself. Can't see there being any issues with reliability on a turbo conversion if it's done properly. Low boost and you won't have any lag issues. Especially if you got for a small ball bearing turbo like I have :)
Ashford Motorsport (build race engines) told me to NEVER use Momentum. I has additives to increase the RON or something similar.
V-Power is all you need. Nothing else.
I'm in Croydon so not far from you.
I head out down towards Westerham and the A25 for my weekend blasts. The B2024 is my road of choice between my area and Westerham.
Watched a test video on this recently, can't remember what it was on. But the summary was that the pump kits work well and are good to use, IF you are happy leaving a tiny amount at the bottom of your sump.
Removing the sump plug retrieved more ML of oil.
I would not be happy with leaving...
I had some old harnesses that had sat in water on the car floor, and they were a state. NOTHING got rid of the mould apart from some old Milton mould and mildew tablets my mum had from when I was a baby!
It's possibly a bit lower than normal. Doesn't seem to be as bad as yours sounds though. I'll have a better look and get a pic at the weekend.
It does seem to be a lot of weight freely hanging between the downpipe and the centre section hanger though!
The car was now ready to come down onto all four wheels for good!
And that's how she sits now. Ready for running in and mapping in a couple of weeks time at Engine Dynamics.
We've been doing lots of finishing touches recently. It's been great fun and a solid learning experience, but Graham and I are extremely pleased that this project is coming to an end. We've got his to do next! 🤪
So anyway, a new link pipe was ordered from Andy at Engine Dynamics. This fixed...
I have those trailer wheel straps too. They work a treat.
Keep up the good work. Love the OCD.
I may have missed it or I may have forgotten. What does your gauge show? I saw some flickering numbers which looked to be as high as 140/150??
Car looks great keep up the good work.
I notice your fan housing doesn't sit flush with the back of the rad..?
I've got the same issue with mine. I've told Direnza and they've told me to keep them updated with any new developments with this rad. Might be worth you mentioning it to them too...
Worst case a bit of tape on the cooler or a ally cover like I have for winter and it's fine. Gets up to temp very quick.
A thermostatic plate is always open anyway isnt it? All be it a tiny amount.
Otherwise you'd get huge pressure drop as soon as it openened.

I don't remember the clio fittment off hand though so check that before ordering.
I do indeed have one.
I personally wouldn't run two sandwich plates stacked together but I know others who have without any issues (as far as I'm aware). It's just one more failure point and not essential.
Torques do a sandwich plate with two take offs for a gauge. So you get an in/out for...
The kit looks fair. As with anything you can go overkill and customise until you brain explodes. MLR stuff is generally pretty good though.
I got all the bits seperately for my kit because I knew exactly what was needed. But that kit above will be fine for you! Unless you might want to...
