I removed the "Watford Renault" and "Elf Aquitaine" decals from my 182.
On road cars I regard decals as chavvy shopping lists. Whereas on my Dad's race/trackday car; other than his race numbers the only other decals on it are strategically positioned to hide cracks and holes in the fiberglass...
After changing tyres I had bad vibrations that came on at 70, were worse at 80, but then disappeared above [on my private driveway ;)].
I took it to a more upmarket/performance tyre fitters who re-balanced the wheels using the fancy Hunter GSP9700 Road Force balancer and that sorted it out...
Mine's still on the original :rasp:. It's a 54 plate with 50k miles on it, bought it off the owner of 7 years (my Cousin) last September.
There's a fair bit of rust on it, and it's been 2x advisories for the last few years MOTs, but I'm waiting for it to either fail an MOT or fall off before I...
I'd chose 15" as they're less wheel/more tyre than 16" (so saving weight) and the tyres will be cheaper.
I don't know list 1A (and all the nice R888/A032/A048 from 1B aren't there!) but I've heard good things about Yoko AD08.
I've got the locking wheel-nut set and the jack in my boot, but yeah thinking about it I might as well remove them as I don't carry a spare wheel! Unfortunately the can of tyre weld fell off of its velcro whilst cornering hard and exploded in a foamy mess, so I'm stuffed.
If I get a puncture...
I haven't actually got round to having them done yet, but I rung Platinum Bodyshop to ask them (Platinum/Wellsway is my local dealer for just about every marque, and the bodyshop is part of the group). They said they don't do Alloy Wheels, but gave me the name and number of "Tony 07870 585009"...
Just to give closure:
The Renault part # is 8200207049, and Tom @ Wests Renault was the best price I could find (Renault normally want £79.67).
The markings on the injector were "048H101354 IWP 042" which is a Weber 'Pico' injector part number.
Just to give closure:
With fresh fuel and redex it then ran fine... for a week. Then the intermittent misfire became permanent :(.
So with it misfiring on the driveway I unplugged each of the injector multiplugs in turn just to check that the error code was correct - unplugging #3 made no...
Just to give closure:
ABS + ESP + Service Lights was caused by error codes DTC50CE + DF0135. This was that the brake light switch was not sensitive enough and needed adjusting. "The brakes have been applied but the brake lights aren't on".

11:50 this morning: Trophy ahead of me in the queue for pump #6 at Shell Downend Bristol.
I was just getting my weekly fill of V-Power, but it was way busier than normal... people panic buying I guess .
I was considering an Impreza Hawkeye before I got my 182... best quote for the one I had my eye on at age 20 (WRX with PPP) was £13,000. :( Sucks to be young!
Got my 182 aged 20, moved up from a Saxo VTR that I'd had at 17 as my first car. My Dad drives it occasionally when he's bored of his BMW diesel barge and wants a nice revvy petrol but CBA to get his Westfield out.
I bought the 182 off my ~30yo female cousin who had it since new and replaced it...
IIRC ScarySquirrel's is a Milltek, that he's then chopped the centre silencer out of for extra noise.
I'm not a stalker, I'm on another forum that SS uses :)
To be fair the F4R isn't exactly a bad engine, but yeah most people go for XEs or Zetecs.
The N/A 2L Zetec in my Dad's Westfield is running 250BHP... but that's had a fair few quid spent on it from when it was a 130BHP stock engine about to be put in a 2L Mondeo! Your F4R is already at 170BHP+...
My average in my 182 is 34MPG.
So doing 100 miles @ 34MPG uses 2.94 gallons = 13.37 litres.
You get £25 for 100 miles; so 13.37 litres needs to cost less than £25, or that's less than £1.87 per litre.
My local Shell charges £1.409 for V-Power, so those 13.37 litres would cost £18.84, giving...
The only problem with my fuel theory is that bad fuel would of-course be reaching all the injectors, not only #3, unless it's that #3 is the weakest and hence the one to report the problem.
I'm gonna try this new fuel and Redex to see if it goes away, but yeah replacing injectors would be the...
So I've got a misfire, and I have reason to believe the cause is dodgy fuel. I'm brimming the tank with good fuel every day (managed to get 7.5 litres in this morning) to try and dilute the bad fuel, and just driving through the misfire hoping that once the good fuel has diluted the bad enough...
Don't have a clue, ask the DVLA :).
I'd guess that as the plate belongs to the car the ownership of the registration plate would now be the insurance company. They're then either gonna flog it to be repaired and put back on the road after a VIC (and the plate would go with the sale of the car)...
Damn these 182s are common!
Today:
My BG in car park 20
TimMB's LY in staff car park
Orange one parked by the cemetery
What I think was robbygraham's BG driving along Coldharbour/Stoke lane (numberplate looks the same as profile and the exhaust definitely didn't sound stock).
I've contacted Eurocarparts to see if they'll replace it (after all it was their website's 'Fast Finder' at fault!), but if they won't, instead of giving them repeat business, I'll give you a call :).
Know someone on another forum who did the same, sold the car with his personal plate still on it planning to get it transferred over later... it never happened. He learnt the lesson the hard way!
Just done a quick search, P3 NRH is registered to a blue Renault 1998cc, first registered 01 05...
Re: Search Results
Just done some looking around online, loads of similar looking washer pumps on eBay..
The one that my 182 has two of (with the 90 degree inlet) is what Eurocarparts list for the Laguna Mk2, Megane Mk2, and Clio Mk3. For all three cars they list the same part number 488545100...
