These were very interesting. I always thought they were a great idea, just a shame about the high cost... but understandable for the first production run as no doubt JMS had a lot of R&D money to make back on the initial batch. But if now they were to be produced in volume at a better price...

Dealer replaced the bonnet catch FOC today.

Bonnet catch done under the recall by the local dealer this morning.

Recorded letter arrived today. Rung the local dealer to book it in.

Mine had the sticker from the original owner having it replaced.

I'm quite impressed at how much of the engine is still under the bonnet and how the cockpit hasn't been invaded too much. Certainly better than Saxos etc where the engine crushes your knees!

Blimey, glad you're OK! Hopefully insurance will be OK with it all. I know I've felt safer before when out in the racecar than in my 182 on the public roads... might be tempted to do some safety mods to it now!

Thanks for the SGS link! Is that the right BMW part on SGS? I just noticed that they actually list a part for the Clio Trophy and it has the same part number as the Renault part... but it's £2 more than the BMW part linked :p.

So there's eleventy million different exhausts available for the 182, but I was looking for a definitive list of them noise wise. IMHO for a road car there's two noises you care about, drone at 80MPH cruising on the motorway (which is bad), and 2. rasp when revving it (if you don't like that...

I thought I read that the RS2 only worked well with the stock 1*2 cams, and that any other cams it was rubbish with?
