Sorry, probably not the first time this has been asked, but I'm finding conflicting answers!
So I know that 172 gearboxes use the circlip whereas 182 gearboxes have the diff bolted, and that the phase 1 172 and the 172 cup have a speed sensor integrated into the box, whereas the 182 the speedo...
Other than pricing (which can be justified by convenience, warranty, pretty website, etc.) the only issues I've ever hear of with the Dorset based company is Mapping. Other tuning (but mapped elsewhere), workshop, services, parts etc I haven't heard a bad word said about them. And I've used...
These were very interesting. I always thought they were a great idea, just a shame about the high cost... but understandable for the first production run as no doubt JMS had a lot of R&D money to make back on the initial batch. But if now they were to be produced in volume at a better price...
I don't know if he's done Renault's before, but I'd highly recommend Frank Anderson of Anderson Racing Engines in Timsbury (Bath) for his work on Zetecs.
I'm quite impressed at how much of the engine is still under the bonnet and how the cockpit hasn't been invaded too much. Certainly better than Saxos etc where the engine crushes your knees!

Though won't more lift mean spoiler hitting roof?
Thanks for the SGS link!
Is that the right BMW part on SGS? I just noticed that they actually list a part for the Clio Trophy and it has the same part number as the Renault part... but it's £2 more than the BMW part linked :p.
Currently I've got genuine Renault Trophy/V6 boot struts... but unfortunately as they're 12 years old they're going soft so struggle to hold it open and I've had the boot gently come down on me whilst loading before!
I asked Wests Renault for a quote, but unfortunately they want £206.26 each...
So there's eleventy million different exhausts available for the 182, but I was looking for a definitive list of them noise wise.
IMHO for a road car there's two noises you care about, drone at 80MPH cruising on the motorway (which is bad), and 2. rasp when revving it (if you don't like that...
