The CTR is like the bloke everyone knows - hes fine till he has a drink, then could go either way:
the greatest laugh, or the beast wholl start waving his fists about.
Raining yesterday and i opened my window just as i pulled up at lights only to find a cascade of water rush through the window gap and straight onto the electric window switches.
Luckily had a rag to mop up the damage but they wouldnt work for a few minutes afterwards. Got away with it this...
a) id only been in the car 5-6 minutes and it was only the third or fourth time the brakes had been used on that trip
b) my speed never went above 40mph due to traffic volumes.
I believe im not the first to experience this. A brief search will verify that. As for a twitchy rear end...
The alarming trait ive found is that under braking, the back end gets very very light. The car starts to twitch - it feels like its doing the same thing superbikes do when they brake hard; twitchy tail and virtually standing on its nose.
On another point, Ive just experienced the brake...
is this truck wash stuff any good as a pre wax wash or is it too harsh? i was wondering if there is a was thatll strip the wax - i know washing up liquid can do this but from what ive read here its too salty(?) to use regularly
**APPLAUSE**
A big bag of respect to you, and everyone who had a crack at that track. It was almost as exhausting to watch. I sensed it was very intense - especially with it being your own car: no "press A to continue" if you stuff it
If its alright with you, id like to be counted in on...
I GOT MY POLISHER THROUGH! - 07.15 this morning
Its beaten screwedfux direct by a day - order was ballsed up at their end and i have to wait till tomorrow before i can plug it in.
And as Blue suggested, they marked it low value to avoid any import duty
Thanks for your help and advice...
i got my car on the options plan and being over 31, took the £400 insurance package.
I was that happy about that price i never thought to ask about renewal - is that going to be available at the same price next year or do i have to immerse myself back into the seedy world of shysters with crap...
Its the twin pipes that seem to attract them - particularly on motorways.
Riding my ass like he paid an admission fee.
Im normally quite calm but yesterday i had an attack of the red mist, coming back down the M62 i had some Golf resting less than 6 inches* from my bumper.
*That is not...

I have been looking high and low for that pic at work today. Its whats swung me.
oh cubby hole, dashtop air vent AND the boot rattle (which curiously only started after reading this strand).
2 weeks and 1500miles in and Im having a rattle festival.
I suppose if its rattling, its still attached in some way
Thank you all for your help - order placed.
Im justifying it as protecting my investment.
Also, having seen my car in the briefest of sunshine, i feel shamed into getting it.
(sh*t, black is hard to look after).
Anyone have a clue when i can expect it - or more precisely, will it be...
...bit cheeky i know, but does anyone have a voucher code for discount on this item at autopia?
Theres a beer or white wine/fruit based drink in it for you
:D smiles sweetly
i had a similar experience...
passed someone in another black 182 parked at the side of the road. Bit further on i stopped at some lights and he comes screaming up alongside me.
Ooh fair enough i thought, this should be fun. So i nodded and smiled in a friendly manner. Him and his bat-faced...
The bit in my brain that controls the left foot is still in non-abs mode so the tendency to feather/pump is still strong.
Add that to the bit that still thinks im driving a one litre Fiat and the horizon gets very close, VERY fast.
Ive had to use mine in a major way twice already on...
UPDATE:
Dealer has been faultless throughout. Unusual I know, but its true.
Turned up today and it was parked pride of place in front of showroom with 6 miles on the clock.
When it came time to inspect the car, i wasnt rushed. A solid 30 minutes of hard edged nit picking couldnt come...
...to get a fangly dangly factory fresh new 182.
Was excited, but am more cautiously apprehensive/ nervous that its going to be ok.
Been waiting for what seems a lifetime so i hope they havent gone and told some numpty with an orbital sander to buff it up a bit.
Mines black too ysee...
I dont suppose anyones got the Top Gear clips involving the 182 and could perhaps post/email/host/point to?
Theres a Clarkson review/stig lap and i think theres a shoot out with a CTR, but im not sure about that one.
Thanks in advance of any help offered
