yeah the 300mm f2.8 is good, when i went to silverstone to shoot the European drift championship i got chatting to one of the speedhunters photographers - john brooks. He was using one, only down side i can see is that a fixed focal length maybe be restrictive but then again its being a prime...
This will be released like all NFS games on multi platforms so it gives me something to play on the ps3 until GT5 comes out in 2459 :sleepy:
i dont think it is necessarily a bad move to break away from the arcade style to more sim based racing.
agreed but looking on warehouseexpress the 5dmk2 body only is £1884 where as the 7d is £1699. the 5d seems to have come down a lot as when i was looking it was £2400 body only. This only makes it even harder to pick between them. Having said that if you wait 6months you might be able to pick up...

have you thought about just running the canon 70-200 f2.8 with a teleconvertor. You can get a kenko one which is just as good as the canon one but works on all lenses. Best of all its much cheapers rrp £80 however i picked one up on ebay for £28 as the guy listed it as 1x4 convertor rather than...
stunning pics buddy, i must explore some other circuits than silverstone looks like you can get much more interesting shots.
what lens were you using mate.
cheers
James
Good effort, the first image is the best, but as mentioned clone out the stick so the boy isnt connected to the background.
I would recommend on getting a different background, a plain colour normally works best.
There are two main styles of portrait photography, high key and low key and they...
whats your budget mate, i picked up a Canon 28-135mm IS USM for about £200 new off ebay, apart from the zoom creep its not a bad lens, previously i had a sigma 28-135 with macro and that was good to although it broke :(
some examples of the siggy
Just uploaded the new homepage as a tester, seems to be working ok, obviously there are no other pages to link to and i may fiddle with the design some more, but you shouldnt be getting a blocked by google 'report attack site' message like before.

yeah mate my hosting got hacked by some s**ty webbot and searching on google it seems that it has done it to a fair few site. I have changed my hosting location and got my webhosting buddy to create me a new account / passwords etc so it should have sorted the problem. I will have a new site...
great effort buddy, for a first time they are especially ace.
you may want to look at these pics, David loftus is Jamie Olivers official photographer, so you may get some ideas from his images. one thing you might want to play with is using a really shallow depth of field on the food shots...

Well i decided to change my car camera rig from a suction one to an undercar one. it attaches to the car by clamping to sill which is the same princaple as the www.automotiverigs.com ones but without the $1000 price tag. Have had a chance to test it you and still have a little bit more tinkering...
yes mate, you can either set auto bracket on your camera or if you keep the aperture the same simply adjust the shutter speed. The buildings will require an exposure that is longer than the wheel which means normally the wheel would be overexposed. By adding a second layer where the wheel is...
good effort mate.
the only thing i would recommend for pics like number 2 if you have shot the images in RAW or bracketted your exposure is to produce several layers in photoshop of different exposures. you can then delete areas to enable you to get the perfect exposures for both the...
as mention you want curtain to use 2nd (rear) curtain flash to get some motion blur and then freeze the subject
im assuming you have a nikon, i found this:
Flash ModeThe flash mode you can select depends on the shooting mode selected on the main dial. In the AUTO modes you can choose...
what sort of gains would i actually get though, as ive seen single throttle bodies going for as little as £40 on ebay, so if it does actually provide some benefit then for £40 its not a complete waste of time
