i would spend the £400 you were going to use to by a 1000d and get a 30d, the build quality of the XXD range is far better than the entry level XXXD range
Just a canon 10d buddy, can pick them up for peanuts these days, ive had mine 4 years and still not upgraded yet.
Shot with 2 x canon 420ex speedlights with wireless triggers on studio stands.
thanks guys
Decided to do a little photoshoot of the clio today and test out my studio lights on location for the first proper time. The sun made things a little difficult as it was really harsh especially on the left hand side of the pics but i think i did an ok job of balancing out the exposure with the...
ah ok you were using suction mounts rather than the undercar rig, was wondering how you managed to get it that far back for the rear 3/4 shots, that makes sense now lol
cheers
James
+1 for the 70-200mm F4 it is an awesome lens. i managed to pick mine up off ebay being sold 'as new' from a shop with warrenty for £300, and then got a kenko DG x1.4 teleconvertor (which is just as good as the canon one) for £28 as the guy listed it wrong lol. normal price is about £90
cheers guys i actually had an idea of running a little comp (alongside the normal monthly comp) of try to shoot model cars on location and then vote for the best. like these
what do you guys think, would anyone be interested in it?
cheers
James
These are by no means brilliant but i was a bit bored so decided to quickly whip the studio lights out and have a play. I tried to make the model a bit more life like by giving the pics some 'punch' by applying a beach bypass filter
cheers
James
that is schwwweeeeeeeeetttttt, your bike pics are always awesome so with that they should be even better.
im properly jealous lol im still rocking the 10d :)
yeah mate i was specifically trying to catch the flames, they did it roughly in the same place at druids most laps as when they down shift it dumps a load of fuel into the system. also i wasnt bursting the second pic was a pan at 1/90 which is pretty slow so a shot eitherside of it would have...
thanks buddy, these were all shot with a canon 10d with canon 70-200mm F4 L series lens, some had a x1.4 convertor and some others had a x2 teleconvertor (which means manual focus while panning - hardcore lol).
just shows that decent glass is just as important if not more important than the...
looking good although i quite like the rocker cover before, the engine bay looks a bit too black now but clean none the less. maybe a blue to match the silicone hosing would work or carbon fibre. still looks good though.
definately colour code it, it makes a massive difference. also which...
lol tell me about it haha, my pc so isnt up to the job, a new one is next on my wish list as well as a canon 7d or 5dmk2.
as for picking a v6 or something cool like that i would have liked to but ultimately it is a Guiness advert so having a generic boring means you dont get distracted by it
cheers for the comments guys,
i know what you are saying about the car mate but i think it is just the car itself making it look like that, it seems to have a heavy rear 3/4. if that make sense. also i was a bit limited with the pics i could find as the full size of this image is like the size...
Well recently i have been doing a bit of work for Taylor James so thought i would show you guys what i have been doing.
i was given some 5x4 slide scans
which i then made look like this following their brief, i just had to copy what they were after from their mock ups. having said that it is...
no worries, just found an actual playstation to xbox controller convertor
http://shop.ebay.co.uk/?_from=R40&_trksid=m38&_nkw=ps2+to+xbox+controller&_sacat=See-All-Categories
something like this mate
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/PS2-to-PS3-PC-Game-USB-Controller-Converter-Adapter_W0QQitemZ400070729741QQcmdZViewItemQQptZVideo_Games_Accessories?hash=item5d2612e00d&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14
im pretty sure you can get ps2 controller ports to usb as some people use their old wired controllers on their ps3. so that might work, depends if your xbox would recognise it via the usb port
^ where abouts did you find that buddy, i looked on his website but his bike/helmet/leathers are a completely different colour. was just trying to see if there was another bike 52 in a different class.
cheers buddy, im tempted to go up to brands hatch again this weekend for the BTCC, although it was great fun shooting bikes so may see what bike events are on in the South.
i had a quick look for the riders details but no such luck at the moment, it doesnt help that the BMCRC doesnt have a forum
