Yeah, but it's like celebrities who court the press. The manufacturers know full well that snappers will get spy shots of their new cars, and they don't mind because it raises the level of hype surrounding the car. It's free publicity yet the heavy taping-up keeps an air of suspense and mystery...
Re: NATIONAL CLIOSPORT MEET IDEAS?
How come the aquadrome was no good? Shame, I got all excited when I saw a date had been set. Well, looking forward to it all the same.
I can't handle those daft bits of tape or whatever that cut the corners off headlights. Just why??? If the car doesn't look right then buy one that does! Other than that, I do like the exhaust coming out of the bumper on the second pic :)
Someone's gonna have to explain this to me. Renaultsport spend millions on making the Clio's suspension as good as they can for the selling price, but any joe can go out and spend a few notes and make it instantly better? Call me a sceptic but that doesn't sound right to me. Unless by 'better'...
Oh yeah, I wouldn't be without mine. It was in the boot when I bought it, but it's dead useful - I can still have a play around roundabouts on the way home from Asda because all my pies are being held nice and steady.
Have you figured out where it attaches on or do you still want pics?
No real way of overcoming it tbh, the drive shafts are different lengths (as they are on a lot of cars) so giving it razz from rest you'll get different torque going to each wheel. Just 'man it out!'
It's just physics! There's only so much that the driver can do when you're talking about 170bhp/RS suspension vs 80bhpish/wobbly suspension. It'd have to be a very good driver in the 1.2 and a very bad one in the 172, and there'd have to be NO straights on the track. A Clio 1.2, good little car...
Oh, I get it, it's one of those optical illusions. If you look reeeeeeally carefully in the top couple of pics you'll notice there are mountains and lakes in the background...
Re: evo crash
^I think it was probably something to do with the fact that he was going 5,000,000,000,000 mph along a wet road :S but there's absolutely no way he's alive. The emergency services aren't even trying to get him out. He's as dead as the proverbial dodo.
