The 197 is quite a bit of a down-trade from an S3. A Megane R26 is, i think, pretty much the only car in the S3's class that is actually better. Go for one of them and you won't be disappointed :)
Well if it's what you want... but imho because in-line 4-cylinder engines generally don't sound the best, exhausts don't help. All the aftermarket systems I've ever heard on the back of any in-line 4 car just make it sound daft, like there's a hole in the system somewhere (and not just at the...
Hey Breakneck, where is that spoiler from? I love the look of the cup (in white of course) with black wheels, but HATE the cup spoiler. Yours is much nicer so where's it from?
ANY clio spoiler will do very little in the way of providing downforce. They're all 90% for cosmetic reasons and taking them off will do next to nothing as far as increasing your mpg goes! :)
Best way to gauge is to scour auto trader. Put in £4000-£6000 with the keyword 172 and see what's on offer. Buy from a dealer though cos you'll probably need the backup. My 182 is on its third trip back to the dealer to have work done under warranty and I've had it 4 months. Ghey.
It'd be so tragic if they crashed. Not the loss of life, but the poor car! I just hope they don't take anyone else out with them. Bet he thinks he's a really good driver because he can hit 130ish without crashing. Only a matter of time before someone who's not looking pulls out in front of you...
I've had umpteen bricks (*disclaimer: not really bricks, just pretty big stones off the road) hit my screen in the 4 months I've owned it, and it hasn't cracked yet. Thought it'd gone the other day though, the noise was so loud when the rock hit!
There was cup suspension and cup spoilers, in two separate packs. You do see quite a few that are like yours, with cup suspension but not cup spoilers. I live in Carlisle mate, what're your favourite roads through the lakes?
Followed you down the M6 to j42, we both turned right only I went past the tractor and you stayed behind. How long have you had it? Not seen you around before!
Effin hell. I can't believe how worked up people are getting. If the guy hits his limiter and doesn't know what it is, so what?? That's what the more experienced people on here should be here for - not to take the p!ss but to explain and spread the knowledge. Instead of making a judgement that...
Mine is standard and it does the same thing. It's going back to the dealer tomorrow so if they find a cause I'll try to remember to come back to this thread and let you know.
Ahhhhh, there was a thread recently that brought up the difference in rev limiter from 172 to 182. My 182's is 7250 but you can see on that vid that the 172's is a few hundred revs lower.
Anyway, that's a v nice car Jimmy, welcome to the jungle! Errrr... I mean ClioSport.
I got a record at the weekend - a full notch less than half a tank got me 150 miles with the computer showing dead on 45mpg. That was from the centre of Stoke to the outskirts of Carlisle, about 155 miles on the tripmeter, with one stop at a motorway services 60 miles in. Oh, and I should...
It looks furry! Tbh the first thing that came to mind when I saw the texture was those huge pink sparkly glasses Elton John used to wear in the 80s...
Not that I don't like it, and nice one for getting it done!
Yeah all Renault dealers did at first, cos Renault themselves were pushing them hard. As soon as that promotion finished the remaining/ex demo ones went back up to around £16k. Which was ghey as I quite fancied one.
Have they got the right one? If they're anything like the windscreen replacement firm I used to work for they'll have a little book with codes in, which correspond to your rough model (i.e. mk2 Clio). Then they'll have a selection of windscreens that fit and you'll have to tell them which is the...
I had that when I bought a pair of boots for my gf. They had been 'whitened' according to the listing, but when they came through I could see that they'd actually been painted white. There were brush marks all over them and they even smelled like emulsion! I left negative and they left me...
