All of the sticky stuff you have remaining inside the car, will come off with Autosmsrt Jelsol
Thank me later 😂
Mega effort going into this build! Quality stuff!
Plenty of OLD cloths! (They’ll be good enough for the bin only) and gloves!
I’ve learned a trick with this stuff.
spray it onto the offending sticky stuff, let it sit for a minute or so and try and use the same cloth as much as possible, the Jelsol that’s already on the cloth will aid removal...
What a shame, after all that work ECP let you down with the injector!
Loving the swift upgrades too! Coming along very nicely
I shall be sure to keep an eye on this one
Erm... I’m glad you think so 😂... I’m glad there’s a guide to be honest, but I’ll still find a way to mess it up 🙈
It’s great to learn all this stuff and I’m genuinely enjoying doing it all, but each task gets a little more technical and seems really daunting. However, I know...
It needs investigating, I took it back to the unit first thing Tuesday morning and abandoned it 😂
Once I’ve had a good look at what’s causing the issue, I will move forward with a fix. I’m not holding my breath as fluid was absolutely everywhere :grimacing:
Is your steering really heavy without PAS?
My pal has just removed his and blanked off his rack and it has to be the worst steering I’ve felt.
If there’s another way around PAS than going EPAS, I’m interested (and not very knowledgeable in this stuff  )
I’ve heard it’s a bit of a ball ache... but needs doing I reckon
Thanks JB, I’ll certainly be following a guide! I wouldn’t know where to start 😂
Not sure what you mean mate?
I don’t want to stick with PAS as I hear many people have issues with it
Well, with my PAS fluid still...
What an awesome read!
That PMS shifter found its way into the car pretty discreetly!
Looks bloody brilliant!
I’ve got to where mine is for £3k...however I bought the car for £220 and I’ve done NOTHING in comparison to this! So I’m going to say you’re north of £5k now
Few questions in...
The update I’ve been waiting to make since purchase day!!
Errm...where do I start...
well, after a lot of prep work over the last few months, the car was ready for a track day!
There are still bits to sort with the car but they’ll all be done in time.
So, Sunday afternoon/evening I picked up...
This is great!
The thing I love about this, is that it’s clearly been loved before your ownership and now it’s time for track stuff it’s still getting really good mods.
You could’ve just replaced the rad, but you’ve chosen to upgrade the pipe work too. Things like this are great to see...
Welcome along...
I had an itch last year... it’s now partially scratched! First track day is this Monday coming.
DO NOT! Whatever you do, add up the parts you purchase 😂😂😂
I’ve made that mistake 🙈
Another small update
Popped down to the Unit tonight for a few hours to sort a few niggly bits out
A couple of weeks back, I butchered this headlight so that I could use it as an air feed
Tonight, I went for it straight into cutting the holes, no measuring as I’m not bothered about the...
@Vicky. would you say you’re into cars more than your other Half?or did he get you into cars? I’m intrigued as my mrs has always said that she would love to do stuff with cars, but never really seems bothered by it all either 😂
Hopefully see you at brands in it soon
When you follow a build thread and see a car go from s**t to holy s**t it’s a great process to see...
But when you open a thread and see the long list of new parts... THEN see the pictures of said list... astonishing build! Looks great!
Oh and not to mention, the felled money tree would be a...
Rather good read.
Enjoyed watching the wallet flying out... the bit I’m not looking forward to in the disappointment..
Why I think you’ll be disappointed... I don’t think, even with all the work that’s been done, that you’ll be keeping up with/going past the honda’s that you’ve struggled with...
Afternoon all
Just trying to keep up with this thread now.
i know I’ve not kept up with the coatings of everything, nor has everything that I’ve done to the car been documented in here, but hopefully soon the car will be out for its first track session and then I can make more quality upgrades...
Quick update...
I popped down to the unit earlier to swap over the punctured wheel on the Superb.
I’d forgotten to take the heater control panel for the Clio with me, but I wanted to run the car for as long as possible to see whether the fan would cut in.
After doing a few temperature...
First time I’ve seen this thread, but this is the joy of old threads being brought up to date as I’ve just read the entire thread and cried at the thought of my son passing away as this is something I’d almost certainly do too.
Much respect Colin and I hope we see more pictures in 2018 of your...
