Well after looking through one or two threads with what to do for my alloys, i am going to get a refurb and respray in anthracite on the standard 172 wheels.
The hard part is deciding what to do for colour.
My car as of this minute:
Options are below: (Sorry for taking the odd pics...
i think its if you want the belts doing at the same time, its £1440, on a cup (think its £1510 for non-cup) otherwise its the £1159 quoted for the inlets, remap, cams etc without doing the belts
Just about to post in wanted forums but would ask about prices 1st. Slam panel for front and a bonnet, preferbly the bonnet would have to be 172 pearl black i believe (did 172 come in black gold because in sun mine has a sparkle)
If not how much would i be looking at for a spray roughly
Or...
got a start, does the optima fit straight into orignal clio battery place because any others ive seen (not on here) seem to run from the boot because they are bigger.
An im thinking of running 3 hifonics amps off it, 1206d's i think they are with 3 hifonic brutus
All im basically asking is for an aftermarket battery people use in the clio when using a sound system that fits in the place of the original
and
if anyone has got a different alternator to help the power supply (different or recond'
what about leaving the remote start function, as i recall you still get the pager thing with that falcon alarm and just get other functions added instead
Just wondered what battery and alternator people use when running a sound system without moving the battery into the boot or what they consider good setups.
Also where did you get the alternator done/from?
yeah i wanted to get them done together but perfect time as a wheel bolt has snapped in the wheel so got to get brake discs off to do it so may aswell get it done now and pads fitted next week after pay day :)
and thanks fred, ill be sending an order your way soon for them, more than likely...
to run new discs on old pads, its not for too long, just till next pay day when im getting ds2500
garage just rang saying he didnt advise it but its only for a week or 2 max
ye ok then done it thousands of time before with the clio 1.4 so why cant i do a sport, just to be certain someone hasnt done something before my ownership seen as ive only had it 3 week, someone could have done anything prior to it and it just needed a big kick, would have been ok doing that...
ha ha lol, too late now, weve already had the joker, nar just gave it a good fist at top and it soon fell off, i got use to mine coming off straight away on my old clio
In the process though, as my mate was putting the bolts back on, one wheel nut decides to snap in the wheel, so its a brake...
this may sound stupid yea i know, but after removing the 4 bolts holding the alloy wheel on (btw they are standard 172 alloys) do i have to remove the bolt in the middle as the wheels arent coming off, im thinking it might be they are just stuck on and need a slight pull?
