    Genuine ECU failures are extremely rare but they do happen... Rarely! A quick scope test will show exactly what is going off.

    If it's shaking the entire car it sounds pretty serious and so an obvious problem should be an easy spot. I'd deffo ask them if they spotted anything else whilst doing the belts

    Brazilian Renault Sandero RS (Dacia Sandero as we know it which the UK/EU didn't get) As Luke said above, different markets over there and as rubbish as that Mk2 Ph4 is, the Sandero is a brilliant thing by all accounts.

    IIRC it comes from the wiring loom to the steering column, not part of the clock spring assembly. Are you sure it hasn't been hidden out of the way or cut?

    There's a perfectly logical explanation for this... It is a Clio, not a tractor! You wouldn't believe how many times I've had to talk to people in France about these cars (the Dacia Dusters also seems a regular/popular topic also).

    If the wiring is there, yes but it *may* need programming so simply fitting one may not be the finish line, otherwise I suspect he would've done this already.

    In the photo "Not mine" you can clearly see the SAS in place (the black plastic box with the yellow marker). The other photo shows your setup missing an SAS and what you've assumed is an SAS is actually the clock spring position marker. Mick

    No - The "SAS" is an input device for the ESP equipped ABS modules which allows it to run the extended ABS ESP program.

    Assuming it is running okay and not misfiring - 100% guessing here but most likely either a CTS or H02 fault... normally one of these.

    Yes you can but see the above warning about timing slip on the crank if you just unbolt it and switch the pulley.

    It sounds like the external controlled relays firing to me from your description - Get under the passenger side dash and make sure that they're all plugged in properly. It could still be an internal UCH issue though
