No way would I even think of it if it was that much.
For me it worked out at £1800 fully comp on a 182 worth 6K.
Not bad considering when I first got insured on a polo it was £1300. That was in my mum's name too.
The thing I can't work out is how adding my mum and dad to my insurance...
I've got a 1.4 16v. I think they are much quicker than the 1.2 16v. I have to admit I thought mine was fun but I did go from a 1.4 8v polo!
Now the 100bhp is just boring! Only fun you get from a 1.4 is at 5000rpm in second.
I can't stand driving a standard 1.4 16v! I'll just renew on the 1.4 and ring up to see how much extra it will be. If I think it's too much then I won't do it.
Do you think 182's will drop a lot in price over the next year?
Hello
I'm looking to get a 182 cup this year but as i'm young insurance is high!
Basically in July I will have held my license for 2 years and I'll be 19 so the premium drops quite a bit.
Thing is when I insured last year with Admiral I did the 10 month bonus scheme. This means that my...
Well I booked it in and forgot to ask, doh!. Just want to be prepared for when they tell me. I shall find out tomorrow.
Anyone got an idea how much it is roughly.
4 year/36,000 service on a 1.4

I get around 35 at the moment. Never really get anything more than 40 unless on motorway. Mines a Mk2 Ph3, 1.4 16v.
There seems to be a big gap between 1.2 and 1.4 mpg's!
It's black. Got a cliosport sticker in the back window!
Erm, depends where you are. If you know the Kings Head pub or Oakwood School then it's over that way
Pretty much yeah. If you're coming from redhill towards Horley then there is a left turning that takes you there.
I'm in Smallfield! Although I've not got a sport, I've got a 1.4 :)
Would be good to see some of your sports so a little meet is a must!
And btw Smallfield is just down the road from Horley. Most of you that have been to Horley still probably wont of heard of it.
Basically not sure whether to lower (and do more mods) my clio. It's a Mk 2 Ph 2 05 plate. I'm only 18 and I was going to get a 182 but insurance is 4k+ ! Was thinking of just doing a few simple things like lower, 172 alloys and maybe an exhaust.
Lowering is my priority and looking to drop...
To be fair I was thinking just save my money and get a sport.
Saying that though, by the time my insurance goes down it will be hard to find a low milage 172/182. I don't really like the new clios. My car is only on 25000 miles. It's a tough decision. Maybe my best bet is to save as much...
