Hey guys,
Just got some new rear pads, but was informed not to bother fitting them untill I've sourced a caliper rewind tool.
Is it possible to push the piston back without having this tool? Is there an allen key/torx head in the centre of the piston that can be used also?
This is assuming...
Take the top off and get in with a long socket and make sure the bolt underneath is good and tight :) do this both sides and it should stop knocking, if that indeed is the problem.
I'd mine done in just over an hour and parts only cost about £80...
Heat the disc? Nooo.... Large hammer... if that doesnt work... try cuttin a groove down it with a hacksaw to release some tention in it. Works for me! :)
My GF is on my insurance, costs about an extra £100, she hates driving it though! :P
5k Scares her and the steering and clutch are too heavy from the 207 Sport she's used too! :P

Please observe:
I'm allergic to DERV's :P

I think i may look into the KONI stuff :)
Evening all,
I'm wishing to change the suspension setup on my FF182 to copensate for leaking shocks.
I have no preferance to coilovers or springs and shocks packages. My budget is 3-400 quid so I can't spend the earth.
Lower would be nice, but isn't nessecary!
What would you guys...
Alrighty Lee,
Knocking from the steering could be a number of things from experiance:
Top mounts as mentioned above
Droplinks being Broken
Drive shafts developing a split
The Clutch problem, does it dissappear when you depress the Clutch pedal? If so it could be the Clutch Release Bearing...
Exhaust was fooked - Replaced
Headlight washer missing a ball - Replaced
No reverse lights - Switch in the car
Rear OS Shock Leaking
Wheels Kerbed and needing refurbed
Cup Splitter one side broken off slightly
Rheostat needed she no blow :(
And its blowing out at the fiber gasket at the cat...
