Can you pop it off with the air bag still in place? I've done it before with the airbag out, but had a quick go last night whilst it was all hooked up as normal and it didn't seem to want to budge?
Oh and thanks to Chris Powell for the carbon bits. They look awesome!
Cheers
Has anyone got one of these? Thinking of treating myself.
But I have a few questions which you might be able to help me with:
1) What standard mounts does it come with, I can read what it says on the listings but are they good enough to attach somewhere in the car to film trackdays? I have a...
I'm after a carbon fibre insert or a one with a carbon style look. I also want red decals on both.
Is there someone on the forum who can do this for me?
There's a few traders on here which I don't really know too much about.
Cheers
Firstly what is the actual benefit of removing the air con? Is it just the weight saving? Or does it actually sap power? Are we talking like 1-2bhp or more?
Then, what kits are out there to use? The only one I think I've come across is the Pure Motorsport one. Is this any good? Well...
A friend of mine has just had a great result with his EP3 Type R.
A couple of mods and he's reached 193BHP at the wheels. He's over the moon obviously. Really nice car he has too!
We were talking about how much power is lost through transmission before it reaches the wheels.
Anyone have...
Now I've always had some kind of issue with both of these on my car. Mainly Cruise Control.
What's the minimum speed needed for it to be activated? I can't remember.
But recently when trying it. I flick the switch up, select the speed with the buttons on the steering wheel. Then normally...
So I'm following some of the guides I here. I've got the airbag out. I've unplugged the grey clip with the black and red wires. But there is another clip on the left hand side too.
Theres been no mention of this is any of the other guides. It's not easy to unplug either.
Does anyone know...
This was posted last year but the offer is still valid for a while.
Great for someone who needs to get it done.
I'll be using it again shortly.

Just a quickie. Talking to a guy I know, who's going to be welding my floor plates in for my cage.
He hasn't seen my car yet or the position, but said to check the position of the fuel tank and find out whether it needs to be removed whilst welding??
It hadn't even crossed my mind to be...
Just had my Milltek sports cat fitted today to go with my cat back.
This full system combined with the KTR induction kit sounds absolutely awesome.
Over the moon with it all. Just been out for a quick blast around my block.
One very happy customer!
So when it finally stopped raining for a few hours over the Christmas break I managed to fit my new style RS badge, fit my KTR induction kit and paint the boot floor satin black, ready for the cage.
I will be putting the carpet back onto the rear arches after a second coat of paint because I...
Can I remove it all without snapping and breaking anything?
Where the trim under the rear windows joins the rear trim plastics. Just by the rear seat belt lower bolt. Right at the top near the roof lining they connect with a clip but one bit secures into the ceiling. Does this just need to...
Read a few times that people still recommend it even with the new style. But there is no mention of a weld being needed on the fitting instructions. Maybe the washers prevent any damage?
So do you need to? If so why?
If welded wouldn't it make it impossible to get back off/replace at a...
Looking to refresh all my suspension bushes. On the Powerflex site there are two variants for the different ARB.
http://www.powerflex.co.uk/products/Clio+II+%28inc+172+%26+182%29-426/1.html
For the front ARB Bush do I want 23 or 25 mm?
and..
For the front ARB outer mount do I want 22 or...
Looking to get a rear cage with harness bars. No idea how I found this place but had it written down in my Clio notes. Emailed them for some prices on what I wanted.. This was the reply:
"Dear Sir
We suggest Wiechers cages, to make one exactly as the photo you...
Just watched my recording of this and loved it.
Great finish on the day for Josh @ Cooksport!!
Great driving too, especially when he nudged you and got in front but you managed to get straight back in front!!
Cant wait to watch my recording of the Brands Hatch GP race now.
I don't earn bad money (well at least I don't think I do), and I bloody love modifying my car. In fact it's all I think about!!
Constantly looking and planning what next etc... Do I have issues or are you like this too? I actually really look forward to getting some spare time so I can do...
Not sure if this is actually what it's called or maybe plenum chamber?
But I want to remove it and paint it, mine looks a little bit worse for wear. Now this is as far as my engine knowledge goes I'm afraid. I'm willing to try and learn new things as always but I obviously don't want to f*ck...
Right guys.
Was in a small bump on Friday night. Not my fault. Sitting at traffic lights in traffic at around 8pm. Car behind me bumps me up the arse. He straight away admits fault. I take a quick photo of the scene on my phone and of his number plate. My mate jumps in his car and we...
So I'm planning on fitting a rear cage in next couple of months. I only want a rear cage though.
I want it to be solid enough for a safe harness bar and because I do a lot of track days.
What's the difference between bolt in and weld in? Assuming the welds are stronger, but permanent? In...
Just had some alignment done. Only cost £15 thanks to someone on here who posted a link to a discount voucher. Cheers!
Whilst the car was up on the ramps my dad took a few shots for me. Not often you get to see the underneath of your car.
Not the best pic but thought I'd share one.
Dads taken the car to a place for its geometry. I've told them I want it all standard but with -2 degree camber on the front wheels.
However the guy has come across a huge list of standard options for Mk2 Clios.
He was asking me whether I knew if it was a setting for a D4D, D7D, D2E, K2F etc...
And do I need it?
Getting my geometry set up tomorrow. Planning on going for around -2 degrees camber with the camber bolts I've just fitted.
I've heard a lot about toe out for the rear wheels. Most seem to go for 5 minutes. This means absolutely nothing to me lol. Can't get my head...
Just a quicky.
does the bent washer point towards or away from the damper??
Also what does the little, sleve/glove on the bolt do? Is it needed? Does it stay bolt-head side or nut side?
Also thanks Kelv for confirming the top bolt hole on the damper is what's used!
Cheers
