Top two look oversaturated to me, the reds and greens seem overly bright.
I prefer the bottom two shots, perhaps very slightly washed out but they look more "real" than the top two in my opinion.
Nice shot... but if the idea is to promote the club then perhaps it would've been better with people sat at the tables as otherwise it looks like nobody goes to the club! I think the image the club will want to portray is that it's a place where people have an enjoyable time so a few folk at the...
Boring is sometimes what people want though. Last month M-Sport wanted mugshots of the crews in the Fiesta rally championship... they didn't want anything arty farty, just bog standard mugshots... now I'd have loved to mess around with the lighting and so on but then the customer would not have...
Same set up as me except I'm using Nikon flashguns.
My white umbrella came from Asda... does the same job as the ones at silly prices in photography shops :o
If it's for a website then I expect it'll mainly be capturing the facilities, clubhouse, bar, changing rooms and so on, nowt particularly creative or arty farty.
Maybe go for a low wide angle shot of someone serving for the action shot and a more general shot of the courts.

There's a couple of things you can try. Some cameras allow you to switch on gridlines in the viewfinder so you can line up the horizon with a line - don't know what camera you have but you can definitely do it with some Nikons. Also, you can get a spirit level type device that fits on the flash...
Ah bugger you've found me out. The only reason I changed my 172 for a 197 was so I could fit more victims into the boot. I might get one of those sport tourer things next :D
Thanks for that, Bolton isn't too far away so if there's anything else needs fixed I'll go there.
I seem to have fixed the boot lock now - the mechanism and switch bit were full of dust, cleaned them up and did some boot slamming and it's all working :D I just need to rag the car around for a...
I've just been out and pressed the fob buttons in a random order while pressing the boot button on and off rapidly and it suddenly opened
I've left it wedged open and will now go and take it apart and clean the contacts and so on.
Please does anyone know if you can open the boot on a 197 from inside the car? The button under the bootlid has stopped working on mine but I can't get at it to fix it without first getting the bootlid open. I've had a look in the boot from the inside but there isn't anything obvious to take to...
Most of the posted ones are with the 18-200 lens. One is with 10-20.
Some have the levels from the raw file changed slightly, I don't know how to do owt else with post processing :S
Top one looks fake, bottom one looks a bit flat but not too much. Have you tried changing the menu settings for the colours, there's a setting for making the colours more vivid on your camera I think?
Cumbrian sign. It means "mind the little sheep" for any southerners viewing ;)

I'd have thought for guaranteed keepers you want to find the balance between good DoF and fast shutter speed. Using either extreme will reduce the chance of getting a good shot. Maximum shutter speed = more chance of freezing the action but also = less DoF = less tolerance on focus point...
Yes if you want to freeze the action eg a jump shot but the downside is a reduction in depth of field and no sense of movement so better not to use those settings for anything other than head on jump shots I'd say.
There's more to motorsport than roundy roundy ;)
98.6% of CS members live within 10 miles of Warrington so I think any meet would have to be at Oulton Park or Three Sisters!
Yeah, I was in the Wrynose area for 2 hours and saw 1 car!! Coming back the other way later on it was full of ramblers etc. I never understand why, with 100's of miles of footpaths, ramblers insist on walking down the middle of the road and then they give disapproving looks when you drive past...
