I've taken around 900 pics in the last 3 days :o
Thursday... photographing Emmy the Great/exlovers in Gloucester >
Then Friday morning some scenic stuff around Crickhowell. And some sheep.
before heading to Chepstow for the Wyedean rally scrutineering... my 197 with mate's...
Good pics, I'd have done a tighter crop on the first one to lose the bit were it looks like the stone wall ends and a fence begins but that's a personal preference.
Don't believe the camera manufacturer hype, more megapixels does not mean a better camera or better quality images.... 3.1 sharp megapixels are better than 10.2 blurred ones!
Read the guide at the top of the page and the manual and then practice lots!
Yes it is the same bridge but one has the little waterfall bit on and one doesn't. I liked both so stuck them both on here. There's no point having 18Gb of memory and taking one view of each scene :)
I had a photo job to do in Bentham today so it would've been rude not to have a little drive around the Dales roads while I was there :)
Apologies for the dirty ass :o
I've never done drip shots before, here's two efforts... I was trying to get the water in the centre of the shadow of the spoon in the first one but failed :o
Yes, just get a wireless transmitter/receiver. Plenty of HK shops sell them for around £10-£15.
On some Nikon's you can use the pop-up flash to trigger off-camera flash but I don't think the D40 has that facility? Check your menu to see if there is a Commander mode for the pop-up flash to make...
I use a SB600 and 800 both on and off the camera. You can stick a wireless transmitter on the hotshoe to trigger them which is what the photographer at the graduation will've been doing. I expect he was using a studio flash rather than a SB600/800 type flash?
I've got photoshop but I don't use it, mainly because I haven't a clue how to :o
I'll have a look and suss it out.
(I manually typed a space in on the pic above)
