well try and get it so you cant see the shape of the 6x9s under thre fabric, and no you dont lose any sound quality at all, and theres not much point making one from scratch or buying one, its just a waste of money imo

yeh, its not that difficult, just got to make sure you keep the fabric tight over the top and use a bit of fabric glue where needed. and just use small staples to fasten underneath

might aswel keep your original shelf with the 6x9s and re-trim the top of it with the car carpet roll stuff, 6.99 from motorworld iirc

it does with some hu's i think iirc theres some sony hu's that will work with alpine cd changer and reno steering controls
