Also does your PC only have one disc showing ie 'C', or does it have another partition?
Do a search in Windows (assume you are on windows) for all documents and search for whatever file extension your camera uses (be it jpg etc) so for example search *.jpg

Having had my Desire for a few days, I was still carrying my iPhone 3G around too. As much as I liked the Desire i just found myself going back to the iPhone every time. I don't know why but it just felt a little more natural to use and I was having a little trouble with the Desire onscreen...
