It looks good dont get me wrong but why did you get 17s of the same model as the standard cup alloys? You just paid £700 for a 4inches of metal!!
Was it because you dont want to declare them on insurance?;)
It definately sounds like that crack mate - Get some kind of gum on it till you can get it fixed!! - Youll be pissed on alcohol fumes before you know it!! (get pulled over by the cops too
Yup can definately organise a ClioSport discount. Havent looked at the prices on the website but generally if you phone them and say what you want/whats the best price they can do it for you, they will be quite helpful
Will speak to them about the discount and get back to you....
I am having my waterpump/pulleys replaced tomorrow but not by Renault because i have no warranty and I cant be arsed to pay Renault a fortune for labour etc. My mate has a garage and has always done work for me before so I expect all will be fine. I got the noise around 24K and have been told...
Ok cool, cheers guys. Wil have to take a proper look this weekend but the weather is sh!t.
TomClio1.2: Cheers for the offer dude! - Ill see how I get on....:D
Why change back in winter? Have your original tyres got better tread? Surely 205s would provide better grip in wet/icy/snowy weather than 195s?
I keep mine just for when i sell it on really. And for Track days. I put them in black bags and lobbed the lot down the side of my garden shed!!
Can anyone help? I did a search for similar topics and it seems that on most Mk2 172s people have been able to run power cable from the engine bay through the bonnet release hole in the passenger side and into the boot. I cannot find this hole on my Mk1 172 and dont know if it will be the same...
EBC Pads will be the green stuff ones and these are supposed to be very good. K-Tec do a set of front disks and pads (not sure about the price (http://www.k-tecracing.comwww.k-tecracing.com). Otherwise TarOx do a good set of discs. (have heard that the ABS kicks in a little more often with...
Silly question but where do you get optimax from? I get 97Ron Super from BP (its one of the only places I know that sells it thats local to me). also what happens if you put 95 Ron in? I ran it on 95 Ron for about 2 months when I got the car..

Two of my friends have just opened a Car Stereo Shop in Knebworth, Stevenage. They get hold of virtually anything at mail order prices. They do custom installs, door builds etc. Massive range of trim options from carpet to colour coded fibreglass. Window tinting, CAT1&2 alarm fitting.
Check...
The 306 Rallye is nice. Its the same engine as the GTi-6 but a bit fater as its lighter. Its Very basic but If I bought one I would make it true rally-esque. No rear seats, roll cage, decals, bodykit, vents blah blah blah

Gonna sound really stupid here but what is side stepping the clutch? I can shgift through the old gears pretty quick - if I am gonna cause damage though its prob not a good idea. Do you mean literally not using the clutch or just giving it hell?
Thats wierd because my car has started the same noise recently. It makes the odd irregular mettalic knocking (like a diesel engine). I cant put my finger on what it might be! You can hear it at idling but it may also be there when you rev th engine (just cant hear it!!). Mine has done 24K. Let...
Yeah I have TOYOs too - very impressed. I had Michelin Sport tyres on my Mk1 before I got new wheels and they were ok, but nothing to get excited about. I would like to try the Rainsport tyres. (are they goodrich or goodyear?)
I dont see how it would fail an MOT just for dropping the car 60mm? MOT is safety checks only. -Sure if the wheels are hanging off etc it would fail but I know loads of people with 60mm drop who pass MOT every time

He uses Samco/Hill Power silicone tubing from what i have seen Geoff_Clio172 posted a picture of it on a similar discussion recently (Do a search under Ram Air as I started a topic a while ago with the intention of getting hold of the rest of the Hill power induction components (except the cone...
I will take a photo of what I have done and try to post it on the forum (Still havent figured out how to do this yet though!!) I do believe it has given me some power gain (more noticeable when I have a mate in the car - possibly increased torque?). Obviously its not massive but the sound is...
It makes you cautious doesnt it, in a way I enjoy people looking at my car because it looks good and I spend a lot of time polishing it and keeping it nice - however the last thing you want is some mental trying to run you off the road... do you reckon he wanted youre car or just some trouble?
