Why change back in winter? Have your original tyres got better tread? Surely 205s would provide better grip in wet/icy/snowy weather than 195s? I keep mine just for when i sell it on really. And for Track days. I put them in black bags and lobbed the lot down the side of my garden shed!!

The 306 Rallye is nice. Its the same engine as the GTi-6 but a bit fater as its lighter. Its Very basic but If I bought one I would make it true rally-esque. No rear seats, roll cage, decals, bodykit, vents blah blah blah

Probably get the Hill power chip and Re-map. Colour code side srtips and get some annoying chips/dents sorted. Nothing fancy Im afraid

Gonna sound really stupid here but what is side stepping the clutch? I can shgift through the old gears pretty quick - if I am gonna cause damage though its prob not a good idea. Do you mean literally not using the clutch or just giving it hell?

I dont see how it would fail an MOT just for dropping the car 60mm? MOT is safety checks only. -Sure if the wheels are hanging off etc it would fail but I know loads of people with 60mm drop who pass MOT every time

It makes you cautious doesnt it, in a way I enjoy people looking at my car because it looks good and I spend a lot of time polishing it and keeping it nice - however the last thing you want is some mental trying to run you off the road... do you reckon he wanted youre car or just some trouble?
