find the horn. On my 172 its down behind the n/s front fog behind bumper. maybe the same on 1.6 but unsure. Best to try pull back the arch lining or remove the bumper and look.
could be the coil pack or injector. did they try anything else or just the spark plug? If the lambda sensor is faulty, this would bring the light on but wouldn't cause just one cylinder to misfire.
Has it ever worked? as said, check the horn connectors are fitted properly and not corroded. Also if you have a multimeter, check your getting voltage at the horn as you operate it.
If you know someone with a OBD2 fault code reader, then you should be able to clear it and put the light out. It may or may not come back on, you'll have to try it.
aftermarket or standard brakes? had recent disc or pad change?
Take out the pads and give 'em a little clean with some wire wool & brake cleaner. Put a little bit of copper grease on the backs. Give the calipers an little clean too with a wire brush.
How was it wobbling..when driving? Jack the wheel off the ground, grab the tyre & rock the wheel from top to bottom, an side to side. where can you feel play/movement?
is this after the cars been stood for a while or overnight? sounds like its just surface rust which is normal. maybe worth measuring the thickness of the discs if your worried.
likely yes, but as you first mentioned - check the lower & track rod end ball joints for play. Use a large screwdriver or pry bar and lever between the top mounting points. rock the wheel up/down & side to side too.
Re: f**ked Ball Joint? (pic)
mot! ooh unlucky! get them sorted asap as they will fail it on them. The grease will just fly everywhere when moving so be careful it doesnt lube up your discs/pads!
Most likely a new joint or new driveshaft with joint fitted for that side. Where exactly are you finding the grease? is there loads? splits may not be visible to eye so give the rubber boot a squash/press all the way round and in between the gaps.
Re: f**ked Ball Joint? (pic)
Is it a continuous knocking/clicking noise when moving on full lock? Could be your CV joints (top of pic) Check the rubber gaiters for splits/damage.
Has the balljoint split?
ahh that'll be the one!, the other 172 is at a bathroom/tile place (I think?) opposite somerfield.
Edit - Live in Widnes but work in Warrington. will keep an eye out for you! :)
I thought this could of been me! but I have yet to see any another 1*2 driving on the road so unlikely.
Every morning I do see a black 182 and black 172 parked up at the shops long the A562 in Penketh. Anyones on here?
Here you go, try these threads - 1st one has some pics and 2nd is the video guide! ;)

Maybe give RAC windscreens a call? http://www.rac.co.uk/web/windscreens/ or even Autoglass.
I'd say around £200+?
Do you have a FF yeh? could be a little more than std clio screens due to you having the heat reflective/rain sensors.
Hi all. couldnt find much from a search.
I'm doing a bit of refurb work on 2 of my ph2 172 wheels. Does anyone know a good match off the shelf for the standard silver?
Cheers
Shaun
I was wondering this when I got mine. Looked for a button for ages lol. as mentioned - with lights on, you keep hold of your windscreen washers for longer than 3 secs iirc.
I have the same buzzing noise! I followed this guide to greasing and cleaning the climate recirc fan - but its still the same! I need a new one me thinks. http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=106754
