My mate has 1, and I went out the other day with him and he could not pull away from my car on the twisties (Mk1 F4R) especially out of the corners! Then he let me drive it, I was very dissapointed. It felt like it had no torque in it at all! I expected it to be awesome and it really wasnt. As...
Neither of them local to me can supply me with a set of wishbones!
I cant really think of any other decent suppliers as these are the only 2 I ever use!
I have found with 3 they are s**t at giving "loyalty" discount, they tried to offer me a great deal last week which I could have got as a new customer!
I am now thinking about perhaps dropping the subframe and cutting it very slightly where it si rubbing. I cant see why this wouldnt be ok, I dont think it will weaken it to a point where it will be dangerous etc.
The guys over on c16v have juts pointed on that my steering column wont line up and therefore this idea has been shot out of the water!
The reason i wanted to do it is because manifold-cat join which is near enough impossible to adjust/move is barely touching the subframe and causes an annoying...
Basically I want to lower my Mk1 subframe by 5mm all around, or even just at the rear if possible. Can anyone tell me if this is not advisable and give reason as to why not?
Thanks

As far as I know the wildfire is pretty much the same but has a lower quality screen.
Re: Anyone know any really good deals on a flat screen TV at the moment?(About £150-£

Looking for something for my bedroom wall to get my xbox hooked up to ready for the new Cod  I am looking to spend £200 or less preferably nearer the £150 mark.

I am trying to buy 1 from someone breaking a car but they dont have a clue where (or what :rasp:) it is! Can someone please give me an idea where it is and how to remove it?
Thanks!
Ah, ok well I have raised my engine by about 5 or 6mm aswell so maybe thats my prob. I need to get a new set of leads first though! Any idea on best value set and where to buy?
The big 1 in front of the manifold and behind the block?! :S I dont think I have that 1 lol.
In that case I would say, whip the motor out and have a butchers. If the motor is playing up just stick another 1 in there for what the hassle is worth!
PMSL at what comes up when you google map that postcode!
I reckon this is your best bet, I know you didnt want to shell out on a rebuild but I suppose you will then know you have a mint box!
You may get away with it, it sounds like each time you are "seizing" it then it is freeing up after only to get too hot again and stick. I would say get a heatshield in there and see what happens!
Also if you are not sure if you have 1 fitted, look down the back where the motor is, can you see...
Re: Mk1 F4R/172'd Track Car Project
You said earlier in the thread that you blocked up the bonnet airvent to stop rain getting on the coilpack? How did you do this?
I wouldn't mind charging every night so long as I did actually get a full day out of it! My current phone gives me about 7 hours if I use or 3 or 4 times :(
