Silly question but are all the earths as they should be? The earth underneath the airbox at the back of the gearbox was loose on my car and it acted like it was insane!! With the car off the road it took me a week to find the fault. Worth a look to see if its tight.

Gearbox's give up under normal load's so if i went boosted i'd have a spare in the garage for when the inevitable happens.

I use a 300mm which felt small to start with but now normal wheels feel like im navigating a yacht!
