Your right there is an access hole for the filter, but the under tray needs to be removed to gain access to the sump plug.
Only a few 10mm bolts and torx bolts, so not too bad!

Oil and filter change this evening.
Was surprised to open the filter box to find...
A. The filter has a bloody hologram on it!
B. It's made by Samsung!?
Nice and simple, and it's a joy to have easy access to an oil filter that doesn't end up leaking down the front of the engine!
I also...
Such a lovely looking car, and the grey suits it perfectly.
I often see one driving around Basingstoke in really nice turquoise colour? Although grey is definitely the right choice.
As Andy said I've also never been a huge BMW fan, but it would be a tough call between either one of these or...
I'm not sure, especially at that price!
I quite like the look of the standard spoiler, it suits the squat purposeful look of the car.
I do think the cup spoiler looks the part, just not something I'd want fitted to mine.

Productive day!
Helped my mate Kris fit a set of H&R lowering springs to his Focus ST, along with new lower ball joints and Powerflex bushes for the front lower arms.
@loggyboy also dropped by with his M3 to bleed his clutch, and take a few photos.
As for me and the Trophy I fitted an ITG...
Thanks Tim!
It wasn't just the Megane, I'm still put off by big projects because of the Impreza.
Then again I can't really compare an early 90's car to one less than a year!
Cheers bud,
I know what you mean about the chassis. Some 'spirited driving' on the right roads has certainly brought a...
Thanks mate, and your right I could easily count on one, possibly two hands how many MK4 RS Clio's I've seen since launch.
Compared to the Fiesta ST which are really common place. Maybe it's just that gearbox again that puts many people off.
Little update:
I phoned RS Tuning this morning and...
Not that I really want to be reminded of this loss, as it was without doubt the best car I'd ever owned and after so much hard work it still saddens me to this day!
Here's was my Supercharged Trophy...
If you're interested you can find the full project thread if you search:
'Rob's...
It really is, I can't wait to see what it's like out on track!
Thanks bud, I'm really pleased!
Cheers Chris, I'm a big fan of the face lift front bumper. When the dipped beams are on the RS lower lamps are illuminated constantly, and get even brighter if switched to front fogs.
The main DRL's...
Thanks for the recommendation Tim!
I've heard of them, and also another place in Basingstoke called 'TK Detailing' which I've seen his work first hand, and was very impressed.
I'm a keen detailer, but my skills compared to a professional are basic! Like you mentioned, I just want to give this...
Cheers bud,
I need more miles with the car to be able to give a more accurate review, but in all honesty from what I've experienced so far.
I don't understand why the gearbox gets so much hate when the car has been reviewed from the likes of EVO, Autocar etc.
I get that it's not going to be...
Loved the Megane Dan, and it was a cracking car.
But after all the grief I had with my Impreza and seeing a few issues other people had faced with modifying their own Megane's it put me off doing anything else to mine.
Yes mate that's the plan. Anything I do will have to be reversible, and...
Got it home this evening, and I'm over the moon!
Only driven about 50 miles, but so far I'm really impressed. The gearbox is certainly going to take some getting used to, but there's a very capable car out of the box and I can't wait to get it out on track!
It's 17 plate car, and I'm the first...
You are probably right mate, I just wasn't prepared to take the risk.
And the thought of dealing with the majority of morons. That would outweigh the decent, genuine buyers was a deciding factor!

Argh! It's too early!
In my previous post I meant the Megane was due its timing belt this year, not just a service! [emoji23]

Nope it wasn't if I'm being honest, only 3k.
However I weighed up the pros and cons of either taking a smaller amount and a straight forward transaction. Over making more money, but the possibility of more hassle and a much longer time scale before I could buy the Clio.
Another thing I wasn't...
