If you think the car will be written off, start getting prices of other cups for sale in the same condition as yours. It will help if they don't offer you what you think the car is worth. Gutted for you.

Depends if you are going R27 or not. You have 6k add half again and you will get another 197. I bought mine last year for a little over 8k. Some would say poverty spec but I don't give a fcuk. Less things to go wrong IMO. The main thing for me was the colour (nimbus) and the 1 careful (;)) owner.

Black on black looks great. Would be nice if you could remove the locks as well.

The recaros wear very badly. Should be able to get this fixed under warranty but you may have a fight on your hands. The standard seats are very comfortable.

Are you a track day nutter? If no, then I would go for the full version. You won't be able to exploit the difference on the road and you will appreciate the extra toys. That's what I did :cool:

This sums up the 197 and the VXR perfectly. A N/A car won't feel as quick as a turbo and to be honest, until you get used it, it won't be. The 197 is a much harder car to drive quickly than most other hot hatches. You have to work much harder but the rewards are much higher. Personally, I don't...
