Just get the garage to make the mounts before and after the torsion bar as high as possible that way it should give you the max clearance over the torsion bar.
Also check its not getting caught on any of the heatshields.
I would agree that they dont give much better stopping power than a good condition standard setup.
Main noticable difference with the bigger brakes is its easier to lock up.
But the kit is more for looks than performance.
You shouldnt really need a strut brace as they dont handle to bad standard.
Checked the shocks are in good nick etc?
Check if it has a Anti Roll Bar or not, as that would have a better effect than putting on a strut brace.
If it didnt sqeak before, just make sure you have put some copper grease on the backs of the pads, and also you may find, if you took the pads out you put them in the oposite sides to which they where before, ie piston side on the slider side that may cause it.
Nope the subframes are the same.
The arb is a good mod to do if you dont have one, as my 1.2 dispite being lowered 55mm still had a good amount of roll in it.
Aye the williams track is good. so much better in the corners. but its alot of money, and debatable if its worth doing on a rt.
Have a look at the dizzy cap to make sure that its still allright as well as the rotor arm.
Also check the spark plugs, and check the condition of the leads whilst your at it.
Also have a look at the airfilter like lunner said.
And if they dont help, could be worth changing the fuel filter...
Not really as valver setup would only need to have the hubs being 54mm.
So you would only need the valver shocks.
Where as the Williams needs the wide track conversion which is new driveshafts, wishbones, trackrod ends. etc
I know what i would rather do on a budget ;)
The big disc kit which K-tec do does look good and brakes well.
Shame its quite pricy though.
The other option would be to go for a 2.0l brake setup? im not sure how easy that would be to do though.
Other than that 4pots could be an option but there quite dear.
Iirc Rts come with an Anti Roll Bar standard, but worth having a look underneith and checking it does. as if it doesnt this would make a could improvement on the standard setup.
In my expierience, on my first car (1.2) i lowered it just on springs and the shocks lasted no time.
Then got a...
I was cleaning up my 92 1.8 16v so it was ready to be sold.
And when it steamed up i noticed the markings of a cliosport sticker.
Did anybody know who used to own this? i know it wasnt the last owner who was a club member.
Just curious really lol.
What notch was the temp guage at? as u usually wait for it to hit that then the fan kicks in.
Purhaps it wasnt getting hot enough, i found mine took a while to get hot enough for the fan to kick in.
I apparently have a blueflame cat back exhaust, which is striaght through Stainless Steel and a small back box, with the decat its quite loud ;) guess thats due to only having the back box to keep it quiet lol.
Pops and spits flames which is a bonus.
You could be allright running with a...
Sweet, guess straight through is good for something ;)
Yeah i know, as its apparently a blueflame, it has an aditional mount which you have to screw the rubber into the underneith of the car, which im not sure if i want to do that yet.
Good video that, first time i have heard my exhaust from the outside.
Always have funny weather on the route to the airfield it would seem, remember one time it started to snow lol.
£40ish really pending how empty the tank is, but its a 50litre tank so you could work it out on that.
Purhaps you have a fuel tank from a non 16v model? as there 40litre and would be round the £30 mark.
