its repetative mate. if im going round an island and keep going on and off the accellerater it will clunk when i go on and then clunk when i come off but if i go round at a constant speed it will continuosly clunk untill i either come off the gas or straiten up the steerng a bit
with the dog bone mount, would i just get away with putting new bushes in it? and also am i better off getting the k tec kit and a lower box mount for £200 or getting standard mounts that come to £120 and then fitting them all with polybushes which would add up to about the same price?
sound ill have a look and see how much play is in it and how much new mounts are. had a look at the k tec ones but for the new ones to go on the side by the cam pullies and the one that goes under the battery its going to be over £200 so im gona check how much i can get them through work for as...
cars done 113,000 miles lol and im not sure if they have ever been changed :o.
would this also wear on the inside of the tyre as it seems to have done that but im not sure its related to the knocking or not.
yeah i did have that problem a while ago too with the cv boot keep coming off but thats not it now as its had a whole new shaft. im leaning more towards the exhuast or engine mounts as today i changed the pinch bolt for the ball joint for a proper strengthened one so wasnt as scared to give it...
+1, i had a blow out on the m6 with one of these babies. was hardly any wear on it either. it just gave with no warning so i wouldnt recommend then to anyone. there is a pic in here

there isnt any bearings on the front though so im not sure it would be that, just went outside and gave the exhust a little wobble and there dosent seem to be any exessive movment in that but im not sure what its like at the top of the decat pipe where it meets the manifold so will haveto get...
guess what, the knocking is still there , any got any ideas what it could be?
it only does it on the passenger front wheel when im going round a right hand turn at about 20 - 30 mph and above.
ive posted up about this before, my wheel was clunking when i went round a right hand bend with any type of power and everyone i spoke to said it sounds like a cv joint. so i went through a whole lot of crap and ended up putting on a new drive shaft. but (suprise suprise) its still doing it...
well i finally got the drive shaft done tonight so hopfully that will solve the knocking/grinding i was getting before (fingers crossed). hopefully the weather is going to0 get better soon so i can wash the dam thing.
dont really get time to do them anymore mate. i usto do them at work when it was quiet but i got colard by the gaffer and he had my pants down for it lol.
i know lol. it looks abit sorry for its self at the momment because it is filthy but once i get the stupid bloody drive shaft sorted im gona giv it a good spring clean lol.
speaking of the drive shaft, ive had a right mere with it. its only the cv joint that has gone and managed to find a...
where do you get these from? dont like the size of the original one but i didnt want an after market one as all the chave have them. at leat this one is still renault sport:cool:
i had this happen on mine but ive also had to replace the lamna sensor, try spraying all you electrics under the bonnet with wd40, if it is moisture this will help get rid of it.
well i havent done an update for ages as nothing has been done since the exhaust other than putting a new coil pack on it as it was running like crap and sounded like a scoobie which sorted it only now it has started again (well did it once). also putting a ne cv joint on it tomorrow as it is...
