Can get one realtivley cheap, but are they worth it on a 182.
Opinions from people who have them, instead of from those with an opinion and no experiance.
Cheers
Had mine on 2 weeks, sounds mint, just as they should do from the factory.
There is no way it adds 10bhp but i didn't get it for that. Apparently they can do a cat out pipe (but it throws the ECU warning light on) and they are working on a sports cat for the 182.
Id go for either mintex m1144 or pagids, both good perfromance but increased brake dust, dont buy EBC.
Also upgrade fluid to higher temp rating look at ap range, deffinately worth spending extra money for decent stuff. Braided lines help aas well.
PM me eith email and i will send you some pics, had mine on a week and its mint, quality is spot on (they build all TVR's OEM stuff) and noise is just right.
Knock sensors can only account for so much and shouldn't be used as a long term excuse, if a manufacturer recomends 98ron and you run an engine on 95 then its your own fault if there is a problem (would take about 5 mins to find out what fuel you have been running once an engine has been opened...
The ron level refers to a fuels burning rate and combustion temperature, if your start to use 95 it will may begin to burn sooner and for longer than is required (pinking). This then cause the heat to build within the combustion chamber and eventually will cause nice shiny holes to appear in...
My 182 will be lowered in the next few weeks and then shortly followed by the wheels. Did you stick with the 205 section tyres or drop to 195's, OZ are doing supperleggras with 195/45 16 TIs proxes for £550!
Is the ride still good with eibachs, no choppy ness, bouncing over bumps etc?
Thinking about therm but im really happy with the current ride but the car needs lowering!
The disc kits come with standard size discs, though im not 100% convinced because they guy didn't seem to know what a 182 was only a Clio 2 Sport 20.lt 16v 1999 on, in his words.
they do a disc and caliper kit that has 305mm discs 4pots etc but its £1522.75 plus vat.
Might see if they do...
