On the way home i noticed my engine sounded like a bag of bolts!!! :( Not happy, just had the top end rebuilt so im ruling that out. My only thought is its the bottom end. Sorta of half way through the rev range there a really noticeable tapping, and when the car is stationary and you rev it...
Yep! Thats the idea im on the hunt for a 2ltr bottom end, would appear im gonna need one as mine is starting to sound like there a loada bolts in there!
Bulbs are too dificult on the dash clocks chap, whip the dash top off, steering wheel surround then you will have access to all the screws to realease clocks (two top two bottom). Unplug all wiring and sppedo cable and the clocks are out!
So if the lights on the dash dont come on telling you...
Next to the oil dipstick there is a black pipe comming out of the inlet manifold, this goes into the ISCV. Two 10mm bolts hold it on and there another black pipe comming out of the ISCV into the airbox/Iduction kit.
With all respect i do believe that if there was a vacuum leak it would idle...
Speedo cable needs re-earthing i reckon. Take the top of the dash off, you will see the speedo cable going on the back of the clocks, the black wire is the earth wire, cut it close to where is enters the white clip on the speedo cable and re-earth somewhere on the chassis. Should sort it, if...
