    bottom arm removal

^^correct. Otherwise the sleeve comes out and eats away at your subframe, which isn't a cheap part you will be wanting to replace.

Another quality update. I do love this car. Nice work!

    E46 M3 - Project/Ownership Thread.

Still prefer the original chrome grills if I'm being honest. Leather looks a lot better though :) Try liquid leather / scuff master before paying someone else to dye it. The product was used by many, with success, on the e36coupe forum whilst I used to visit that site.

    Icemans Britcar Endurance project 182

Well done Mark, a great result! I really enjoyed the video too. The camera and mic setup convey how harsh racing is compared to a trackday. We probably only drive like that for 2-3 laps before traffic or giving the car a rest but racing is continuos. I think it's the audio in your vid that...

    removing window tint residue

PITA. I truly horrible job! I once bought a mini cooper tailgate to replace a damaged one on a car I was doing up to sell. Only when I got it home did I notice the inside of the screen was tacky. Film removed prior to sale but residue remained :( I bought Sticky Stuff remover from Halfords...

Another Addition to the CS BMW Owners Club - 330 Content

Well specced 330 you have there. Mines akso an auto - an option I NEVER thought I would have on any car until I'm too old to care:) I only got an auto after clocking 25k a year in my M3 and Id got stuck in one too many traffic jabs during my then 90 mile commute and thought the 330 would make...

    Laquering carbon vinyl wrap?

Got to agree that the carbon effect does reduce once lacquered. Here is my wing mirror wrapped in 3m and then 2 coats of laquer. I must admit the gloss has reduced over time. It now looks like a satin type finish.

    Clio 172 MK2 + BMW M3 E36 Throttle Bodies

Dan, What is the length of the manifold+bodies+trumpets in your setup. I have been trying to work out an optimum length and would be interested to see if the figure I have is close to you. Cheers, Nick Op. You definately want to get trumpets to start with. Smoother air and longer length in...

    Clio 172 MK2 + BMW M3 E36 Throttle Bodies

Interesting project. Without seeing any pictures of what you have done its hard to tell what could be improved. I cannot remember what size M3 bodies are (I think 3.0 and 3.2 evo were different) but they should be ok. What manifold are you using? Are you using velocity stacks/trumpets...

    bored 182?

FYI. Wosner 84mm pistons give 2061cc with standard stroke. As per above, rounded to 2.1L

BIGASH/FF-Racing X85 Clio Cup Racer Project

Re: James/BigAsh 182 Race Car by TDF... It doesn't get much better than this! *Pic He Don't apologise about the long write up; I enjoyed reading that. Your luck WILL change soon! :)

    172 Cup Track Project

Hehe. Like the moment down craners:) very slippy track when damp/wet. Reminds me when my mates Clio had semi slicks and I forgot to warm them up - exactly the same place. You need to sort out the audio though as the video sounds distorted?

Re: James/BigAsh 182 Race Car by TDF... It doesn't get much better than this! *Pic He Saw your tweet yesterday and couldn't believe it (again). So frustrating! Hope you manage to at least have some fun for the rest of your time there!

Just about ready for the engine. Fingers crossed we will have it back this weekend/early next week then wack it in ASAP. Looking forward to driving it again:)

You don't hang around do you! As a track/race car I think the front end works.

    My Z3M Coupe

Lovely example! Don't know what those tyres are like performance wise but I like tread pattern:) And whoever thinks that is a hairdressers car obviously knows nothing about cars in my opinion!

    172 Cup Track/Fast Road car.

Ok Phil I sense your frustration:) At least we now know you can achieve LOOS so it's not understeering all the time. I think it was the fact that you said you were using the brakes very hard to try and drive round the understeer that lead me to think the setup was completely wrong. Ie...

    172 Cup Track/Fast Road car.

Why don't you try raising the rear suspension like I suggested on the last page? Doesn't cost a thing and takes 20mins tops. Do you get any roll/lift oversteer currently?

    172 Cup Track/Fast Road car.

I wouldn't lower the rear if you are suffering with understeer. The opposite in fact.

    172 Cup Track/Fast Road car.

Phil. I cannot remember all your setup but we also have fogs outans no liners and don't chew through pads. We did initially but I think we used to have brembo max grooved disks and swapped them to HC plains for that reason. Made a difference. Also, I know you have always suffered with...

Cr33do and Meek_Racing's track car project

Finished mounting the fan to the radiator tonight. Due to recommendations by others I chose to use bolts rather than the plastic ties shipped in the box. M5's fit through with ease i used the supplied sticky rubber pads to allow for a little bit of expansion. Looks like the connector Mike has...

Cr33do and Meek_Racing's track car project

Mike- That looks really nice on my phone. Also, you know you mentioned about the breather plate fitting hole looking different to the plenum. The spare plenum in your garage might be from a ph1 which I think is different. So, it should fit our propper one:) Just sat on b&q car park about to buy...

Cr33do and Meek_Racing's track car project

Blast! I was hoping to see the finished product :) Nice prep work though! I have finally pulled my finger out and fitted the fan to the rad tonight. Just need to get some penny washers tomorrow to displace the pressure on the rad fins. Mike - can you get an electrical connection for our new...

Cr33do and Meek_Racing's track car project

Really sorry, I forgot all about uploading some details. Truth is I still have to fix the fan to the rad. It's the last job we need to do and then when we get then engine back we can drop it straight in. Mike - remember the M5 penny washers if you can. We rate the PM stuff too. Their solid top...

    Cams

^^have you posted your results online with a graph? Wouldn't mind seeing it if you have. Btw. The car at the West Midland RR day that produced 179bhp did have approx 103k on the clock and had either worn piston rings or valve seals. Just thought I would paint a more complete picture.

    CCNP Switch Labs

Yep, CCNP switching does include layer 3. I particularly enjoyed reading how QoS works and is configured (without using autoqos) ;)

    172 Cup Track/Fast Road car.

Those door cards (the whole interior infact) look very nice! I don't think we have the budget for some yet so will probably end up making an alternative. Guide for switches would be welcomed here too - when you get time :)

West Mids Rolling Road - Saturday 9th of June

From what I could tell, looking at some of the graphs, they stopped the plot at peak power. The revs I saw most of these peaking at were in line with the Renault figures quoted above. I didn't think a map will alter that point too much The only minor frustrating bit was that everyone's graphs...
