I cannot believe for one second you will have solid front disks on that!
Bet it was fun on on a wet track - and it looks like Dan captured some nice images for you too:)
Good to meet a few of you guys today. Cars looked immaculate - although I have got used to seeing a Clio covered in dust:(
Yozza'd 172 cup was by far the loudest but the little 1.2 with a 20 odd % power gain was the suprise of the day:)
Hopefully our car will run on the next event.
Tony, why on earth did you have to post that? Lol. Just when I got used to realising track days are quite safe;) but glad we now have a track car rather than using a daily
Not at all suprised that Combe featured on there quite a bit. Went there last about 10 years ago and stopped going when the...
Yes. Exactly that. It's cheap so we will see how long it lasts but I thought it was worth punt.
Havent fit it yet but it shouldn't take long. Might be able to squeeze a 12" fan on the rad but I was unsure if the mounting points/shroud would be larger than the rad.
Will put some pics up over...
I'm with Adam on this one. It takes time to do it properly. My college course was
1 evening a week for a year then own study time too. I passed with 941pts out of 1000 iirc. The following year it became a 2 year course.
The modern CCNA covers a heck of a lot of material which suprises a few...
Must be nuts to pay those prices. And those courses are very intense! You really need to have a solid foundation of knowledge before taking them otherwise your head will hurt at the end of each day. They might get you through the exam but you won't remember all of it.
See if you have a Cisco...
Ah ok. Corner weighting is something I would like to get done at some point.
Agreed about being on the limit, pretty much everywhere. Suppose you need to be if you want to be fast :)
Read the race report as soon as it came up but forgot to reply - Epic result chaps, loved lap 14 of the video :) such a close match with that Honda!
One thing, does your front left lock up during very late trail braking in to a left hand bends? Ours does occasionally but as we normally have the...
Nothing too exciting to report but thought I might as well list it in the project thread anyway.
I was due to remove the rear exhaust silencer this evening but im afraid it never happend. I wheeled the car out on the drive, jacked it up and loosened off the rear mount. Next up I the rear to...
Great start to a project!
I remember seeing the white "car" for sale when we were looking for our track car. Didn't go and see it in the end as we thought there was too much to finish off on it and I was new to Clio's at the time.
Keep the updates coming - look forward to seeing it progress :)
Wow - that interior looks a very nice job. It's an area we need to work on. Like the oil temp gauge too - something else we want to fit just to keep an eye on whilst on track.
Re: James/BigAsh 182 Race Car by TDF... It doesn't get much better than this! *Pic He
Genuinely gutted for you - couldn't beleive something else had gone wrong when i first read the updates slowly coming in :(
Dont know the extent of the problem - but I am approx 15 minutes away from Agency...
Today I finished off the job I have working on during the week - the aerocatches.
I managed to cut out both inner skins (allowing clearance for the nuts) and drilled the 4mm holes required to fix the catches. The dremel cutting disk, although quite fragile, produced quite a good finish:
I...
Cheers for the race timetable guys.
Yep- the catches aren't a nice job. Should get ten finished tomorrow as I bought some new cutting disks today:)
Have cut the underskin of one already so one more to go then drill the fixing holes add a lick of paint to the bare edges and we are done. Phew!
Tony, I'm probably being thick but what is signpost board?
Im interested in making some cheap and lightweight doorcards for our car in the near future. Cheers
Mike - it's on the Silverstone website. £10pp but i cannot see a timetable.
Emma has made plans to go out for the day - but im doing my best to change that :)
Regarding the racing - so much more expensive than doing trackdays so the only way i could see it working is via some sponsorship. I...
Another awsome burpspeed.com production!
There is something inside me that makes me giggle like a child when I see slides like the ones contained in that vid. Paddock Hill clip is the one for me:)
Im feeling really left out with all this racing malarky going on!!
AdamR's old car - just read the project thread. That's a nice car to begin with! Will definately be coming along to watch some CSCC action this year
^^now I like that driving position! I see what you are saying about the angle of the photo.
We are also in the "Brum Brum noise only" club too. I'm hoping to find the exit soon:)
I know everyone has a different preference when it comes to a seating position but I was thinking more about the angle of your arms to the wheel. If you are still sat quite high does the wheel feel like its in your lap etc?
It was just an observation more than anything else Chip. Nice work with...
