you wont be doing more than 80 in it m8 it too noisy lol Performance is good, I dont feel dissapointed even coming form the 270odd bhp 225 I had. Its roughly 172 pace but obviously quite a lot faster to 60 from a standing start. Its all about the corners with the VX though. Over 80mph is a bit...
yeah that was me m8, I never fitted the tyres in the end lol the decision was made to change so had to act quick before the MRs changed her mind. She loves it anyway. Perfectly happy with the NA it has plenty enough power for such a small car, its actually a match for the 225 (standard) up to at...
I got ifinitys too m8 re used the VDO grilles on them but yeah 200 times better than the standard setup!
Re gunmetalling the alloys.....tempting but cant help thinking it might have a bit of a chavving effect on the car???
yeah its the humble NA which is quite enough for me TBH. I could have got a turbo but no doubt I would have gone mad with tuning etc and end up getting 15mpg and killing myself in the process lol
After having the megane for 18 months and 16k trouble free miles I just had to get the VX itch out of my system before its too late :D Had it just over a week now, had chance to stretch the legs a bit over this weekend and its still making me grin like an idiot :D:D Had its first wash today too...
stuff like the damper replacememnt cost wiull eventually probably make the trophys worth less as people will percieve them as a cost time bomb even though the dampers will prolly last a good 60 odd k
renault nee dto sort out the ridiculous pricing before they start selling 197s in big numbers. The megane will be going up in price later this year if as rumoured they release a 250 bhp with LSD, that will ad 1-2k to list easily. Maybe they are waiting for the megane prices to go up to make the...
probably a lot of speculative sellers out there at the moment seeing if they can get enough for the 182s to trade "up" to the 197. I've been down to renault this morning and they have a 54 plate 182 with both cup packs for 10,500 thats in a main dealer
Alright chaps this is the scenario
My main pc keeps f**king up and refusing to load windows, after shutting down/restarting a few times I get past the DOS screen and it loads windows (I dont think its a hard drive issue as I've only just recently replaced that) I could do with a new case...
I had the misfortune of having them as an ISP, took 2 days to realise what a crock they were and three months to get them off my line. Should be shut down IMO
I agree that BHP figures and 0-60 times arent everything and to be fair its pretty brave of renault to effeclivley put out the 197 as something on paper that is more warm hatch than evolution of a current hot hatch, all I'm saying is save yourself about 3 grand in purchase cost and depreciation...
that 700 bhp zr is owned by a fellow who works at a turbo reconditioning place down the road from me, I've not seen the car obviously its not his daily driver but yeah impressive stuff!
But seriously what is going through these peoples minds if they think the ZR has more "class" than a clio...
put the 2.5k into coilovers and some big brakes and a bit of tuning and you'll whip a 182, not really a worthwhile swap unless your plate chasing there little difference between the two cars
I'm with firefly at the moment, a little known supplier who to be fair are very good and its a uncapped account. But they only offer up to 2 meg and I fancy getting a bit more than the 1meg connection I have at the moment.
Dont have cable in my area so who would you recommend?
I thing renault are been a wee bit cheeky with the 197, they are banking on the old reputation of the 182 to create a "must have" aura around the 197. IMO you must be properly insane to buy a 197 for 17k its just utterly overpriced when you think you can pick a trophy up for 11k or a brand new...
