yes the dropped valve is an old issue, all 8 exhaust valves have contacted when Pete saw it off, no wonder the rocker cover had quite a big leak when the engine was fitted in Adamm's old ph1 as previous owner's in the past had quite clearly chucked a new head on and slapped it back together ​

return it to standard and sell the bodies on,

nar 1*2's on cams & bodies aren't that bad as long as they've got a decent map, 197's on the other hand are absolute garbage on fuel

taught my current missus the basics in my 172 cup and tbh i said you'll no doubt stall first time you go to pull away, i looked a right c**t when she didn't, she never seemed to struggle with the clutch ever and in fact gave it some beans on an aunt's land

TBH i wouldn't really bother with 428's as they are still quite a mild cam, check 519's cam package out with 438's which are making good numbers

if you do go for 421's you are going to need a remap and tbh i wouldn't fit ANY cams without getting it remapped soon after

theres no way i'd pay 500 for them tbh, as looking at the bigger images the finish isn't that good so i'd say they've been a DIY job

no worrries, had to do it on mine iirc i used some copper slip what i had in the shed

just pull the sliders out, give them a clean up and grease the inside up a little
