Well there's only one way to tell and that's to test the lot. I always test my thermostats now before they go in to stock as I've had a few from Renault not open or seal closed correctly. Type-D isn't expensive but it's the customer having to return unhappy I don't like.

I couldn't get on with Vanilla. Speed and response is one thing, which is all well and good, however it also pulls away some useful functionality. Granted you can download Apps to add the functionality but I'd sooner it just work consistently in the first place.
